$1.75 for 2 at Coles this week

    • Yes but what if I want 12, huh? 🙄 /s

    • $10.5+(1.5 Delivery charge)

    • +2

They take up a lot of space in a shopping bag.

      • 12 rolls take up a lot of space in a small itinerary city apartment , with the coles deal, you can get 2 or 4 or 6 rolls depending on your need and space in pantry, or laundry if you have one.

        • +5

But in a large apartment 12 rolls adds extra insulation if you leave it against the garage wall.

    • Was $2.75 for 4 on the Handee Ultra Paper Towels last week which is much better than Viva. Even this week it's still cheaper than this deal. This is very average!

  • +13

    Cheaper at Coles, no deal…

      • +4

Don't need fuel to get these.

        • Says 0.1% of the population ;-)

          • @BNR32:

            Says 0.1% of the population

            Even less have Amazon Prime.

          • @BNR32: people that use trains pickup shopping on the way home if there is coles or woolies near station, and in melbourne many inner city stations are near shopping strips… if i use my car, it’s hard to know where i will a parking spot on the way home due to the number of flats and small terraces and limited street parking in my street …..inner city living has some benefits, but also challenges.

so i think more than 0.1% of the population get some of their shopping without a car …..

      • I can think of many Coles locations in Sydney that are conveniently located so they are in easy access to those commuting via rail. Turramurra Coles you literally have to walk straight past.

  • +1

As an Amazon prime member this is great value. I'll get it delivered in a couple of days. No need to go to Coles to get my paper towels next month.

    • +1

You don't need any other groceries this week?

I guess this deal is okay for someone who doesn't have a Coles nearby or doesn't buy groceries every week. Otherwise, just grab a pack or six when you're getting the rest of your shopping.

      • +2

Of course I'll do other shopping, but it's one less bulky item and it will. Last a while. I may buy washing detergent, hand wash, cleaning products via Amazon if the price is right as I get free delivery and it's only a couple of days, Ill grab fresh food from Coles wollworths or my local food works. Makes shopping quick and easy, leave the basic house hold stuff to Amazon. Works for me. As long as Amazon have a special and I'll. Need to have it eventually I'll buy it. Comes to my office, pop. In the car and unload it. I tried wollies home delivery and it ws a disaster. Happy thus far with Amazon

    • +1

      • +6

Yeah but this is delivered free with prime

You have to pay for prime…

Anyway, voting rules are clear and this is not the best price…

        • prime pays for itself with the free shipping

@Trump2020: Coles is cheaper and there is no joining fee.

            • @jv: Is Coles paying for my petrol

              • @Trump2020:

Is Coles paying for my petrol

Is Amazon paying for my Prime membership

                • @jv: Yes, they refund whole price when 2 boxes of coke came damaged. Would have been 50 undented cans, great service.

                  • -1

@Slippery Fish: Coles deliver free too if you have a code for free delivery.

                • @jv: Through the amount of free shipping I get, yes

      • +9

So…are we not finding the cheapest price anymore? Why are we paying $0.25/pair ($1.50/dozen) more on Amazon when it's cheaper as other have mentioned in Coles?

Are we ozlazy now and it's okay to not post the cheapest price as long as it's delivered?

        • +5

are we not finding the cheapest price anymore?

Not only is it not the cheapest price, but you have to buy bulk, 12 at a time…

At Coles, you can buy 2,4,6 rolls and still pay less per roll…

      • And free cardboard box.

    • What if you pay with 3% off gift cards?

      • +1

You know it's a lot easier to find Coles gift cards.

    NO DEAL !
    NO DEAL !
    NO DEAL !

Quilton Tuffy (4 ply) at Woolworths is a superior product $3 for 3 this week BUT is often half price $2.15 for 3 - Thats when oz-bargainers get a deal.

    • +2

Half price of $3 is $2.15??? I knew they lied to me in school.

      • +2

Let me break it down for you.
Full price is $4.30 hence half price at $2.15.
It is not half price this week only a saving of $1.30 ($3.00 at the moment).
Wait for bigger special (half price) then thats a good deal.

        • It’s just a joke, chief.

    • +1

Isn’t viva brand towel better? I remember seeing an ad once.

      • +1

        Isn’t viva brand towel better?

The others don't even come close…

  • +3

Regularly on sale, 4 pack last week at Coles was $2.75…..

  • Costco 8 double rolls, I.e 16 rolls for 12.88

  • Bought a years worth of Handee paper towel on Tuesday night. 4 rolls for $2.75….and the packs had a 30% bonus

    • I stocked up too. Excellent deal.

  • +4

Rules are clear, this isn't the cheapest price available.

  • The only way to make this a bargain is if you include the value of the giant box it comes in. No Deal.

    • I love the box and filler that come with my paper towels from Amazingon… I never can fill my garbage bins every week before pick-up and this really helps

  • When did this become OzReasonableDeal?

Adding to that, if you ordered this as a single order from Amazon, you need to have a good look at yourself and your carbon footprint.

    • -1

Unless you're on 100% solar and cycle everywhere there isn't any point in trying to highlight someone else carbon footprint from ordering paper towels from Amazon.

      • Unless you're on 100% solar and cycle everywhere there isn't any point in trying to highlight someone else carbon footprint

I wonder if Greta reads these forums?

        • I'm gonna go out on a limb and say she doesn't.

  • I tend to buy the double length ones from Big W because I can't be bothered changing the roll so often…laziness trumps value?

    https://www.bigw.com.au/product/kleenex-viva-double-length-4…

  • What about this in conjunction with the $2 ShopBack bonus and Cashback?
Got this off a giftcard that I purchased @10%
    Seems reasonable all things considered.

  • +1

Cheaper at Coles. Not a bargain

  • Appreciate the heads up, I don't have a Coles near me so I don't shop there. This deal is actually $10.80 using sunscribe and save, so definitely not going out of my way to save 30 cents. Plus I seem to be getting cashback on s&s so far so could still end up cheaper via this deal, not to mention not having to move.

  • Great bargain, thanks op. Screw coles!

  • This is the standard price on Amazon for these.

  • +1

Cheaper at Coles, the rules are clear.
