  • nice tower

  • Soooo it's kinda a case?
I guess these are great for cooling, but how noisy is it?

    • +3

I'd guess very noisy. And would probably build up lots of dust unless you cleaned it regularly

    • +1

There is no noise because there is no fan.

    • +2

      They're actually shit for cooling.

    • You use liquid cooling so only noise is the main cooling unit

    • Its a style of case, open air.

  • +1

I saw that case before, it is so heavy.

  • +2

    So… dust is a given ?

    • +3

It's a case for people who is constantly accessing their components / always swapping out components in a continuous cycle. A few blasts of compressed air on your rads / heatsinks will usually take care of the dust issue pretty quickly.

      • This is what I need. The only other bench I'd consider is the Prochill Praxis Wetbench, but that costs 3-4x more once you've factored in shipping.

  • +8

Defeats the entire purpose of having a case. You might as well just stick it in a milk crate, put a $20 Ikea tempered glass panel in front of it and save $149.

    • +7

I'd like to subscribe to your newsletter sir.

    • +1

Not sure if you mean stick it "on" a milk crate. If you stick it "in" a milk crate, airflow is near identical, but access-ability is limited.

The benefit of a open bench if you're testing lots of different hardware on a regular basis, while having easy and physical secured items like hdds, psu, aio watercooling ready at hand. I would not install the 4 corner pillars, and not install the tempered glass.

Like everything else, there is no product that is ideal for everyone and this product should never be considered as that. There are pros/cons to everything. Having options is better than having no options where the user can decide for themselves if it suits them or not, while having respect for others and understanding it may be good for a small niche group of people.

  • -2

    …. but why?

    • +6

Why not? With liquid cooling this looks pretty sick.

  • paid less for this when it came out, seems the going rate now?

  • +2

$40 postage? They're $179 at shops and this isn't on eBay Plus. So it's more like $209 which isn't a deal.

    • Unless you live near one of those shops, you still have to pay shipping. This is assuming they have it in stock in store.
Shipping on ebay is listed as $20. Depending on how much you value your time, you may be paying $10 more on ebay for shipping for a heavy case. Total is roughly $189, not $209.

      • +1

Shipping was $40 for me in central Melbourne. Unless you live in a remote area, it’s not cheaper.

This would suit someone who really has no local options. But even then I’d be checking how much postage is from some other retailers.

$179 at PCCG and only $12 postage. So in my case, living in a central location it’s still cheaper elsewhere delivered.

  • +3

Where's the bargain? Cheaper pretty much everywhere when you factor in shipping

  • +1

I installed mine on the wall. A head turner everytime. Only suits people who like aesthetic :D. Same argument as why you need RGB keyboard, fan. Headset etc.

    • +3

Lol a "head turner" is your house a public walkway?

    • yea. it's a real head turner after you spend 2 hours cleaning it

      • How would it take 2 hours to use compressed air? And wiping some glass…

      • Do you have one? And spent 2 hours cleaning it? If you dont have one then what do you know? If you have one and clean for 2 hours then you have environment issue. Mine is 7 months already and not dusty at all. Keep your house clean mate.

      • I'd probably assemble the chassis without the 4 corner pillars and leave the tempered glass off for easy access.

        • Yes you could. But the pillars and the grey tint glass are the ones that make it look nice.you can remove the glass easily.

  • not a good case, and especially not for that price. i don't even think that one comes with tempered glass
