Cheap TKL Keyboard

Hello fellow bargainers,
I'm currently looking for a cheap TKL keyboard around the $80-110 range.

I'm not sure if i should continue saving up for another higher end board, or just getting a cheap board for now and getting a good one later on…

Preference wise:
White or Black
RGB
Brown or Red switches

The main options I've seen are the Magicforce 68 $115, Velocifire TKL02WS $50-70, and the Ducky One 2 $159.

Which of these would you recommend?, and is there any that I'm missing? :)

Kogan do a couple of these as well at reasonable prices. Quality wise unsure. Had a Linden one from Good Guys but that died after about 2 years use so looking for another myself

E-Element also a popular "chinese" brand keyboard, worth looking into if your criteria is just "cheap and has RGB". It's a pretty no-frills brand.

The Kogan wireless mech keyboard is a rebadge of the Motospeed GK89, which has been discontinued. Similarly to the E-Element, Motospeed is also a budget / nofrills brand.

On the other end of the spectrum you get premium brands like Ducky, Das Keyboard, Leopold, and Anne Pro.

I'm currently using the Velocifire TKL78, which is the most basic keyboard Velocifire offers. No RGB, just a single color backlight. Switches are fine but the layout is a bit crap.

    • These are all great, thanks
From your experience with the Velocifire, did you find the switches to be loud at all?

Compared to my Blue Switch Azio L80 it's a lot quieter.

It's definitely not a 'dead quiet' keyboard, it is louder than a membrane keyboard, but not much worse than genuine Cherry Mx Blacks.
