Pity about the 3 case minimum for Free Shipping, otherwise I would have given it a crack.

    • Agree. Shipping is $9.95.

That makes this deal 1 case for $48.95 including shipping.

Catch has it for $50 including free postage:

      https://www.catch.com.au/product/pirate-life-brewing-acai-pa…

And you may be able to purchase from the catch site using a discounted catch gift card (you previously purchased).

Yep shipping killing it for me, too.

Don't need three cases of the stuff.

    • i think they got a bit greedy with this deal with the shipping so i agree

    TASTING NOTES
The nose is summer, passion pulp driven and clean, picked lemon, raspberry sherbet, each bubble bursting to release a suggestion of the tartness to come. Palate strikes fresh, lemon rind, stone fruits, tight acidity, a whisper of wheat malt leads to a clean, dry finish. Perfection

Who comes up with this stuff? Is it actually any good?

    • It is good. Quite well regarded as a good example of a sour beer.

      • Thanks, I like a few of their other crews so worth a shot.

If you dont like sour beer dont go there, if you on the fence with them its not terrible

I'm quite the fan, it's nice and light. Not too sweet, not too sour, low ABV which is a plus in my books. Shame they're owned by CUB now…

  • Shipping hurts a bit, but I'm pretty close to the store for pickup (it's in Constitution Hill) so that makes this a good deal for me.

I'm starting to get over the Can Tax. Beer in cans costs so much more, presumably because it's all the rage at the moment. Or they downsize them, like these 355ml ones (versus traditional 375ml), and have small cases, like 16. Then charge about the same as a case of regular beer. Lucky I still prefer drinking from bottles anyway. Stays colder for longer too.

Cans are cheaper to recycle and reproduce so I assumed it was just a craft beer tax?

they got these at 1st Choice. I wonder if 1st choice still has price match?

3.8% was the abv for beer that the kids in Europe would have when the water wasn't safe to drink….
