What do people get sprayed with to disinfect them from viruses?

i always see on the news doctors, people working in wuhan and everyone stepping off that plane from wuhan get completely sprayed with a liquid in a garden sprayer to kill the virus if its on them, even directly in their face.
what is it?

Just tried it, when is the burning meant to stop? 🤔

      • If you give it 10 minutes or so you should be good I think. Your eyes will feel really refreshed.

It may look like Bleach… Might Smell like Bleach… But its actually Spider Monkey Piss :\

          • @chuneeperformance: Not even kidding - isn't that stuff mostly ammonia anyway so practically the same as bleach?

      • when is the burning meant to stop?

        after your skin peels off

It'll work faster if you drink it.

    • It's diluted bleach. Sodium Hypochlorite at 10% concentration.

A low concentration ethanol spray would be okay to spray. Below ~50% alcohol it wouldn't be flammable as well. The efficacy of such a spray is likely to be low however.

    Baygon…

It would either be dilute bleach and/or hydrogen peroxide.

  • must be roundup (liquid in a garden sprayer to kill…)

  • soap water

  • That's just a placebo mate.

    MSG.

It goes well with anything Chinese.

    • Isn't the point to kill the coronavirus, not season it?

  • Dettol spray - lemon.

  • easy off bam

  • Acticide

Rose water. The next step is some incense and holding some healing stones.

  • Methylated spirits.

  • homeopathic coronavirus remedy, aka water with ground up coronavirus victim remains

    • To be effective though, it needs to be diluted to 0.000001 parts per million, so it's really just water with one molecule of it in the storage tank a few KMs away.

      • +1

That molecule transfers it’s shakra to the surrounding water, imparting all water in that vessel with healing power.

        It’s science.

  • Why do you think food establishments ask staff to wash their hands and not spray disinfectant. Because it works. Just get everyone to wash their hands with soap.

skunk spray, it doesn't kill the virus but help with isolating people

  • +1

If you put your own urine in a spray bottle and spray that on it should work.

  • +1

It is a strong disinfectant. It doesn't kill the virus, it kills the cells that might contain the virus

  • No… only clothing

    • everywhere

  • Corona with some lemon inserted down the neck.

  • Probably the same stuff that Australian customs used to spray INSIDE planes WITH passengers still siting inside immediately after arrival.
Future is back to the past.

    • I think that's insecticide and not a disinfectant, but I don't think many know the exact composition of the chemical. I remember the smell all the time and it's more likely a insecticide. It could be both, though?

      Only confirms insecticide part.

      • Yes, that seems to be the one used then!

Interestingly, it was such a big issue (spray) in the 80' but then and now is not … always sounded like propaganda to me ("we are disease free here")

  • A 50/50 mix of bleach and hydrochloric acid. Can buy both at Bunnings. To make it work and be non toxic, you need to make sure you add one to two drops of rosehip (essential oil) into the acid BEFORE putting the bleach in.

I wish you luck in your virus hunting.

P.S. Don’t forget to panic! People nowadays are forgetting how important panic is…
