    30 min fire protection seems…short?

What are you talking about? That's plenty of time to run in and retrieve it!

      /sarcasm

A safe for the pool finally.

  • There's safes and then there's safes. Don't be fooled by weight alone - heavy does not mean strong or hard to break into. See this review.

Get yourself a well-reviewed safe with a Cash rating for a little more. Also keep in mind that "fire proof" typically means the walls are filled with concrete. The result is that the safe becomes much larger for a given internal volume, which means it is far more difficult to "hide".

    • I thought that insulite, perlite, and vermiculite were more common these days.

    • Or you can just encase it in concrete after installation

This will work well for my private yacht, the HMAS Tightarse

  • Perhaps not the greatest safes but better than nothing and very well priced.

Check out the US Honeywell Store to see details and US pricing: https://www.honeywellstore.com/store/category/safes.htm

Better than nothing I guess. Anything better than this and you're spending $500-600 for that next level up.

Personally for the stuff most people will put in this, I reckon you spend more.

The KiddiComp concept, envisioned by Alan Kay in 1968 while a PhD candidate, and later developed and described as the Dynabook in his 1972 proposal "A personal computer for children of all ages".

      Don't think this would help.

dont bother with the briefcase type safe, i regretfully bought this last year - instructions state it attracts moisture inside and they recommend leaving it open every week to air it out

If you have a Costco membership wait for the sentry safe to go on sale, it’s roughly the same price when on sale. Has better specs, ie 1 hr fire protection etc
