I bought 2 last time. Only had half of the first one and still haven't brought myself to open the second…

E: Cheap squealer bottles for beer refills though!

I got like 4 bottles last time, not great. Aldi $8 One Tree Shiraz tasted significantly better IMO

Agreed, waste of money. I got a refund for the ones I took back.

  • Free growler bottle

    • Could be some regional differences in terminology but around Brisbane this would be a "squealer". Which is only half the size of a growler.

I know the local German club sell growlers for $10 and they won't have the horrid odour left by this one so unfortunately this isn't even worth buying for the bottle.

I am pretty sure it is the worst wine I have tried in the last few years and I have bought plenty of $3 bottles.

      Stay way.

Yuk, awful wine. Not drinkable. Bought 2 last time, tipped down the sink!

Unfair! Congrats to the winery for succeeding in getting the cat to balance on the bottle until its full. Like most Dan Murphy recommended wine I find you can clean anything with it.

  • Those reviews make it sound very average

    • +2

      You mean below average.

  • I haven't opened mine yet. Mate got one and said it was absolute rubbish. Not looking forward to it..should of kept the receipt.

Nothing against the OP for posting but I have negged this deal as the product is simply not fit for purpose,

    • +2

And just what is the purpose of a $10 jug of wine?

      • Ummmm. The purpose is to drink it. So, given that purpose, it should be drinkable.

By drinkable I don't mean in the same way that pond scum is drinkable. Or, that home brand white vinegar is technically "drinkable" because you can drink it and you probably won't die.

I mean that if your in a situation where you have both:
        a) already paid for it
        and
b)you really really feel like some red wine to go with your cheap takeway pizza on a "quiet Friday night in"

and….. after taking a couple of sips you try to put it through a wine aerator a few times. Then, you try a few sips. Then, in a moment of desperate creativity you try adding a healthy splash of Bundaberg sarsaparilla and yet still……. you just can't bring yourself to keep drinking it.

Then, for all practical and reasonable intents and purposes I would consider it not drinkable and therefore not fit for purpose.

Agree with the above comments, I found the wine awfully sweet and unappealing. Not even worth putting this flavour in your food, avoid.

  • I bought 6 cases of this and drink a bottle every two days. Is a typical Barossa red with sweet plum flavor. For the price is a very good bottle of wine. Highly recommend.
