Xiaomi Yeelight 2-in-1 Bedside Night Lamp with 10W Wireless Charger

I thought all Wireless Chargers were also night lights.

  • -1

    Protect eyes warm color temperature

    What does that mean?

    • Think electric socks to keep eyeballs warm during winter

    • Cool or blue light has a short wavelength that causes more eyestrain, cataracts and pterygia.

      • Latest research shows the opposite.

Yeah I have this. There is a design flaw in the light. The smallest, hardest to find switch ever made. I often have to use my phone as a light to be able to turn on the night light.

The charging part works fine with my iPhone 7. But damn…the button on the light is awful. I can often trace multiple circles of the light trying to find it.

How hard would it be to make it boppable. Bop light on. Bop light off.

I’d hazard against buying this if you like things that are easy to use.

      That is AMAZING.

How did you get an iPhone 7 to wirelessly charge when it wasn't designed to?

      • Whoops. Maybe I have the 8? I dunno man. Work phone. Whatever iPhone I have, this charges it.

Do you have a nokia 3310?
I’d love to wirelessly charge mine

This is what I’m talking about:
    https://imgur.com/80pAUZ5

Tiny. Smooth. Unable to be detected by human fingers.
It only has an LED light on the button if it is charging.

And for added difficulty, the light can go back on the charger facing either way - so the button is never likely to be in the same position twice.

Look, all I’m saying is, if you want quick easy access to light then maybe this isn’t the light for you. If you want to fumble in the dark and curse the stupid (profanity) little button each night then go ahead and buy this.

    • There is version of this i have… might be blitzwolf but the light is touch sensitive on the top. much easier to use than that little button

Put a tiny dab of clear glue on the button, then you'll be able to feel it in the dark…

      • +3

That’s efffffffffffing awesome. And helpful. What did you do with Jv?

        • +6

PS. Let the glue dry first…

    • What is this? A switch for ants? The switch needs to be at least 3 times bigger than this!

    • I must've won the QA lucky dip. Mine protrudes slightly so I've no issues with my one.

    Dear friend,
I'm reading this and there's not even any mention of a lumen FFS
No one knows how bright a watt or a volt is…
    Please update this asap.

  • Looking for cheap and reliable 15W wireless charger any recommendations?

    • +1

      any recommendations?

      recommend not getting this one.

  • I bought one of these and it was pretty disappointing. Felt very cheap and flimsy and the on/off switch for the light was tiny and hard to press.

  • +3

Also chiming in to say this is disappointing. Not sure if it's a feature of all wireless chargers, but it charges my pixel 3xl overnight but then stops so by the time I wake up in the morning it is at 80 percent because it hasn't been charging since 1 am.

Also the light has two colours, very cold white and very warm. They are both way too bright for a nightlight. And you press the button twice to get to the warm white but in the process you have the brightest, coldest white blind you in the dark of the night on the first button press.

I haven't ever used the light as a result.

    Would not recommend.

    • Definitely not a feature of all wireless chargers. I experienced the same issue, and so have other users. The charger simply turns off when the phone reaches 100% because they didn't bother to program the charger to trickle-charge overnight.

I returned mine within a few days. I regard this as not fit for purpose.

geez your pixel dropping 20% charge whilst idle for 6 hrs :( RIP

    • Thanks for the comment! I'll sit this one out.

    • I've got one too and use it with my Pixel 3. When my Pixel 3 is on it and charging, a green LED changes to blue to indicate this. I wake up to the blue LED still on, my Pixel 3 at 100% and indicating it is still receiving charge. So not sure what's going on with your unit or sure if they have updated it to fix the issue you mentioned, but mine wirelessly charges as you'd expect it to overnight.

I got one of these from the last deal and still haven't used it due to the stupid 1m Usb cable it came with. Don't see how 1m would ever be long enough for having it next to your bed and reaching a powerpoint as it barely reaches the floor.

  • I've got one of these and I've been using it for about a year or so, I find it quite good and reliable charging my iPhone X.
The light is a bit gimmicky but not too bad for the price. I like the fact that the light is magnetic!

  • according to the reviews above, it's Xiaomi YeeNah light. Thank you all for the feedback! I'll sit this one out
