  • Never booked through Expedia before — anyone know if they handle payments overseas or local in AU? Just checking in case there’ll be international fees involved…

    • They've only ever charged me in AUD.

  • AUD if you book through Expedia AU

  • Is this also eligible for cashback from CR or SB? (I assume it's not)

  • Do I actually have to be westpac?

    • It knew last time when I tried to pay with a non Westpac credit card.

      • Did it not work at the point of payment?

        • No, it didn't work, but I have a westpac card, so ended up using that in the end.

@gooddealmate: Thanks - I’m going to have to get one as it’s over $500 cheaper with this deal. I can’t find anyone who’ll match it. Flights will probably be gone by then! Oh well, probably better off staying home atm anyways.

From the t&c's "In order to utilise the Coupon code, you must make payment using a valid Westpac branded debit, credit or global currency card issued by Westpac Banking Corporation and/or its affiliates or its independent licensees in Australia (“Eligible Card”)."

      • Yeah - this deal is misdescribed.
The deal is not for Westpac customers - it is for using a Westpac credit card.
There are plenty of Westpac customers who do not have Westpac credit cards.

You can use a Westpac Debit MasterCard, except for those with Handybank cards or passbooks obviously

  • Thanks, saved some money on san fran hotels.

  • Has anyone tried a non Westpac card? Discount is applied with the code so I’m not sure whether payment will then be processed without the correct card.
