This is a great case. Used in my recent build. Brillant for water cooling and plenty of drive bays. It even has a 5.25" bay for burners which is rare these days. At this price it's a bargain. Getting the urge to buy another one just because :)

    • Does it hold six drives out of the box without needing to buy extra brackets?

  • Do they sell a side panel elsewhere so you can replace the window?

    Thanks hsf.
Went through as $119.09 for some reason. Arriving next Monday, wow,

    $119 when I ordered. 🤷🏻‍♂️

  • I left the pc world years ago, last finishing up with antec aluminium or black cases.

But this is gorgeous. Good find.

$279.00. Even more expensive than other stores

  • Dang missed out

  • Sold out / expired at that price
    Darn

  • Goner haha

  • Looks like I snagged the last one.

Kinda don’t even need it but I guess cases don’t go obsolete as fast as the internal stuff.

    • nothing like a new coat of paint

Glad some of you could order it :)

    Have marked as expired.

Thanks for the heads up. And the $2,000 I’m about to go spend on other parts to put in it now. 🤪

      • what parts are you planning to get?

3600 or 3700. A decent mobo. 2070. RGB Ram to show off in the case. Old PSU probably needs replacing. A new SSD.

          • +2

@cnut: I went down the route of the 3600, pretty good, if you can spare it go for the 3700

Got the 2070 Super as well, I think the 5700XT would be a better choice unless going for gaming above 1080p.

I went for a B450 motherboard, I would say get an X570 - upgrade benefits are more worthwhile imo

  • This reviewer was disappointed by the case at RRP: not quiet enough, not cool enough, not cheap enough, and not blink enough. The design of the plastic front door is a big let down. At AU$120 it is probably a good buy.

      introducing the new Corsair 678C!

It's ultra quiet because your hardware overheated and no longer works!

    • Corsair always use cheap components when producing the Carbide range.

      • Not true. I own a few Corsair cases and I think they're pretty good. My main case is 5 years old and the fans in it still going strong

    • The problem with cases designed to reduce noise is often they're noiser for a given performance level than cheaper cases that are designed to maximise airflow.

The fans run louder in the "quiet" cases with restricted air flow.

Personally I like "air flow" cases with as many Noctua quiet fans as possible. The fans should be as large as possible.

Use the (bios etc) fan controllers and cables to run the fans at different speeds to lower percieved noise.

5 minutes I wasn’t check this page, and missed the deal

  • I am looking for a case and as far as I can see the Phanteks Eclipse P400A for around $115 + delivery is reasonable value.

It is, just keep in mind the CPU height clearance will impact your options in terms of air-cooling, and that the non-LED version comes with less fans.

  • FG meshify would be better choice for greater airflow
