    Never been $200

RRP means nothing if you haven't sold it for that (and promoting it is actually against ACCC), yet you show it on eBay and your site (and here) as a false show of the discount

Thanks for your feedback, Not many things sell at RRP, wish we could sell at RRP, it is tough retail, however you would notice it has been selling for $150 on ebay & current offer of $110 offers great savings!

Thanks for admitting you have not previously sold it at the RRP.

        What are misleading prices?

        Misleading prices may include:

        • ‘savings’ or ‘discount’ statements when compared to the recommended retail price (RRP), but the goods have never been sold at the RRP or the RRP does not reflect a current market price.

Ugg Australia set the RRP and have been sold by them at the price for many years.

@Cameo2: This sale is not advertised by Ugg Australia.

@m9: Yes but they set the RRP which is $200.
Recommended retail price, set by the manufacturer and supplier. If you are going to quote ACCC you need to do better research.

Show me proof that LuxeBedding have listed this for $200

Rep's posts are full of this shit:
                RRP $139

                • @spackbace: Hi, You comparing incorrect product, baby RRP $139 & Medical Rug RRP $200

@Ron1977: No, I'm pointing out your price comparisons

                • @spackbace: Ugg Australia sell the medical rug for $200 for years, that’s the RRP.
                  The end.

                    @Cameo2: Link?

Do you have insider knowledge or something? lol

                You clearly have no clue.

The business that's advertising the sale should not compare their current sale price with the RRP if they have not previously sold it at that price. This has nothing to do with the manufacturer/supplier.

                • -2

@m9: They have sold at that price, on Ugg Australia. That makes it the RRP. Time to shhhh.

                    @Cameo2: Where's the link then?

They have sold at that price, on Ugg Australia.

So? The business advertising this sale is LuxeBedding and no they can't compare their sale price to Ugg Australia's RRP unless LuxeBedding themselves have sold it for RRP. Unless you're implying LuxeBedding is Ugg Australia?

                    • @m9:

they can't compare their sale price to Ugg Australia's RRP unless LuxeBedding themselves have sold it for RRP.

Can you confirm where this is specifically outlined in ACCC?

‘savings’ or ‘discount’ statements when compared to the recommended retail price (RRP), but the goods have never been sold at the RRP or the RRP does not reflect a current market price.

That doesn't specifically say the same store has to have sold it at RRP?

So a store cannot show Apple's RRP of an iPhone to demonstrate their 5% off if they've never sold it at Apple's RRP themselves?

                      • @Hybroid: m9 is correct. The price other businesses are selling it for is irrelevant for two-price advertising. A business cannot mislead consumers by claiming a special price (or comparison with RRP) unless they have sold the item at the higher price "for a reasonable period" prior to the sale. If the business is new and has no history of sales then comparison with RRP may be okay but if they continue to sell at that price then the RRP comparison would need to be removed.

                        https://www.accc.gov.au/business/pricing-surcharging/display…

In this case to say "Regular Price" suggests that THIS company usually sells the item for $200. That means they must have a recent history showing sales at $200.

Plenty of businesses have been fined heavily by the ACCC for misleading price advertising. Kogan, Harris Scarfe, Chemist Warehouse….

    • Thanks Spackbace

  • I think Ugg Australia is a division of the California-based company that has tried to stop people from using the generic Australian term “ugg” to describe sheepskin boots.

Not your fault rep, but I’ll skip this deal

    • Hi, No worries, Ugg Australia is not a division of the California-based company.
      Thank You

    • Wrong company. This is the Aussie Ugg Australia not the Americans.

  • Hi what's the width of these? Your previous posts mention widths.

Also are these the same rugs as this deal but longer?

    • Around 70cm Wide, thank You

      • The deal I posted is direct from the Ugg Australia and is cheaper. Thoughts?

    • It is different, Produced using CSIRO technology that combine 4000-6000 wool fibres,
      Thank You
