Just a measly 10 percent but considering how much the average item costs on there plus free shipping it's ok. Might be useful if your gonna order something from them anyway. I've found stuff gets sent out quicker than DealExtreme and some items are cheaper too.

    Doesn't Customs have a problem with knifes etc in the post?
    I know it is a kitchen knife, but I've always been a big worried about buying knifes etc from overseas.

      I received my fold out knife from DealExtreme without issue. It's the obvious weapon type ones that are illegal - balisong/butterfly knives, anything with an auto extending blade etc

      If its actually got a legitimate purpose then it should be fine - kitchen, utility or hunting knives.

  Spend >$20 and they send it registered for free as well.

  But I once had to wait 3 weeks before they got all the stuff together
  to mail out in the one package!

  So, if there is something you need in a hurry, place it in its own order.
  And at least that'll get there as quick as it can.

  I thought I'd share my experience with focalprice. I've only had one experience and it was a bad one.

  I submitted an order for a whole bunch of items and used paypal to pay for it. I never even received an email order confirmation or order number (just a paypal payment confirmation).

  So far I've received half the order, where the other half is I don't know… Last time I enquired (I hadn't received anything at that point) I was told to be patient.

  The half of the order I received included 8 hexbugs. They all turned out to be exactly the same colour.

    You don't seem to have an account with them?

    And there is supplier issues with a particular item you ordered or its not sent registered and can be delayed at both china post and australia post.

      I don't think it's normal. I think it's poor service.
      I'm not suggesting that Focalprice is dishonest, I'm highlighting that communication is the key to good customer service and Focalprice was a big disappointment for me.
      Focalprice could advise the customer that by not having an account they will not be able to receive an order number or confirmation and therefore they will not be able to track the order. I would have created an account if I thought it was necessary and worthwhile.

      I'm not fussed about waiting, but I'd like to know that my money purchased something that will be delivered at some determined point. When I received the first part of the order, it would have been nice to include a receipt listing the items delivered and the items on backorder (if that is the problem). Instead all I received was a bunch of items all squashed very tightly into one envelope (the bubble wrap kind).
      Incidentally, two of the items I purchased were 2 zombie stuffed toys (the plants vs zombies kind) and both zombie's arms fell off within literally minutes, indicating that they are poorly made products.

      At this stage all I know is that I placed an order on the 23rd of July (5 and a half weeks ago) and I've yet to receive the second part of it. What I did receive was a mix of some good value products, some that indicated I would receive a variety of colours but instead were all the same colour, some that were just poorly made.
      I will not be purchasing from Focalprice again.

  Buyer beware with focalprice, they didn't send my last order at all… Upon asking they just said they had and ignored any emails after that. Luckily it was only $2 worth.
