This is the normal price at Bunnings.
It's also $748 on Good Guys Commercial for those with access

    • I don’t. Though the unit gets great reviews online, so worth the price by the looks of it

    The kogan ones are cheaper

Haha not sure if that matters, right?

    • Not the same. Bettys burger sells burgers and Mc d also sells burgers. Prices aren’t the same and quality isn’t the same!

Normal prices can be bargains. Like $5 dominos value range pizzas. A top tier AC unit from a B&M retailer with warranty is pretty great.

  • Bought two Panasonic air cons yesterday at the good guys price matching eBay. 670 (RRP 899) for 2.5 kw,&1250 (RRP 1599) for a 5kw.
Used discounted gift card to save an extra $100.

  • Will Bunnings price beat if they don’t have this in stock? Website says ‘special order’.

    • In my experience yes they will

Some Bunnings have the 7.5 kw for this price

    • 7.5 Mitsubishi?

      Post that deal if true.

    • I m interested too buying 7.5 kw please send link..thanks

      • Sorry just saw mitsabitchi the one I saw was aka I

  • No WiFi? Bit of a shame

  • Anyone know how much multiple split system units? for example 3x indoor units (2x bedroom and 1x living area) and only 1x outside unit (compressor)?

    • Imagine that would require a ducted air con install. Considerably different tech.

  • Consider paying a bit more for the Avanti plus for the 7 star energy efficiency. You'll feel less reluctant to use it when the bills start coming in.. ;)

    • What’s the upfront price difference?

      • 2.5kW Avanti Plus cost $950 through an installer.

      • Roughly $200-$250 I think.

    • You won't recoup the cost difference from the energy saving in any short time frame.

      • Interesting.

7 stars is for the 2.0kw only.

      • I’ll need 2.5. Thanks.

Then Avanti Plus is 6 stars over Avanti with 5 stars. Only an additional star for the premium you are paying for the Plus model.

  • How much people usually charge to install a split type system?

    • I got a quote off a mate of a mate for a cash job. On second story. Long run to fuse box. Said 750-850

      • Is it correct that it is a condition of aircon warranty that the unit must be installed by a licensed installer?
If so what do we need to get from the installer that does cash jobs? Is it an invoice that shows the model being installed as well as the licence number?
Whenever I think of cash jobs I feel like I may not get an invoice…

        • I thought this too. For this reason I’m thinking of going with bunnings installer

    • I had this same unit installed in the spare bedroom. We had the outside unit mounted high up on the wall, off the ground. Install was $660
