Excellent quality thongs, far more comfortable and robust than standard thongs - including havaianas. Bought some prior to Xmas after reading a comment on OzB. Glad I did. Black/white trim only, and probably limited sizes in store at BCF if my experience is replicated elsewhere.

Retail price is $39.99 although they are occasionally cheaper on Ebay in limited sizes and at places like Anaconda/BCF when on special.

Don't forget cashback 3.5%, brings the price down to $18.33.

BCF members, esp those targeted with the free voucher should also check their voucher balance (probably not compatible with cashback).

As Molly would probably say - do your feet a favour….

MUCH better than Havaianas. They look and feel great, although they do get squeeky :P

    • Much, much better. No squeaks from mine yet.

    • Mine occasionally squeak - must be the type of surface I'm walking on, never paid that much attention - but for sure they're more comfy than a flat-soled thong. The tread gives a bit better traction on wet surfaces too, and against your skin if the foot is wet. This is good value, thanks OP.

    • Much more sturdy and indeed feels great but looks are uglier. I like normal looking thongs not massive ones that make you look like big foot.

  • +2

Are the sizes spot on or do you need to go bigger or smaller than normal?

    • +1

The US male size 10 (12 women's according to the numbers on the sole) is a perfect fit for my Au/UK size 9 feet. Bonus, apart from the comfort, is the extra width, particularly if you have a wide foot - which from memory used to be the Aussie standard back in the day.

Deserves a neg for calling them flips. Damn you BCF.

This is Australia, they are thongs.

    • Maybe because they have a formed sole? A thong is just a flat chunk of rubber or PU with a strap, isn't it?

    • +3

I'd put money on that that's what Crocs have called them, nothing to do with BCF.

    • +1

Agree completely, but it's not BCF's fault - that would be Crocs'. Took Costco to task on something similar - no response of course.

Almost the same price as Archies Arch Support Thongs. Would recommend those over these except maybe in the looks department.

    • What about Slappa's thongs, have you tried them?

    • I have Archies support thongs, these, and Skechers go walks.

      I have sunken arches.

Between these I prefer Crocs first, Skechers second and Archies last. It’s the material the archies are made of - it’s too firm.

The same model as posted by OP were posted on ozbargain last week for less than $15 delivered.

    • +1

Wow the crocs are really cheap. When was this?

      • +1

Just 6 days ago I stocked up at LESS than $15 delivered per pair of these.

        https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/517750

The less than $11 price I historically can score 2 to 3 times a year. It's always via ozbargain. That's how I hear of them.

Got a million pairs now haha. Going to start boxing them up for the day they fit my boys I think.

Happy to show I got the Crocs in this post for less than $15 if it helps anyone.

Yes please. Was thinking of buying another pair for a gift later this year but need to find out shoe size. Presume it was a single pair you purchased?

@[Deactivated]: I'll send you a PM. Not sure if you mean invoice or actual product.

      • I didn't answer your question. I happened to purchase them Feb 2018 according to my email. But I've seen same deal since.

Bought a pair of crocs thongs about 7 years ago (look a bit different to these) when i was wanting something a bit more sterdy. Best thongs ive ever owned it turned out, still got them. Couldn't pay me to wear that Havaianas trash again.

    • +3

Listen, if I give you, say, 1k, are you willing to wear a pair of Havaianas for a day?

      • Ay? 1K for a day? Nah it'd take more for me to sway.

        • +2

          $1001 final offer.

        • Might pay to read the small print Xizor, unless you're planning a day at a nudist beach.

  • What is the arch support like in these? Wearing regular thongs is killing my feet the last few years and I'm heading down the plantar fasciitis road it seems.

    • +1

It's so so but relative to flat thongs, excellent. Have had a bit of metatarsalgia in the past with bushwalking boots but it hasn't reared its head with these. Mind you I don't walk in them for long periods. The base is contoured and has good flex despite being much more robust than even the best flat thongs. Chalk and cheese. These are FAR better than any standard thong I've tried. Never heard of them until now but someone mentioned Archies above, might be worth a look?

    • +1

Probably not a good idea if you've such arched feet. I'd see a podiatrist and get advice on the best type of footwear that might be suitable.

  • +2

I must be the only one who thinks these don't look that great. Comfortable, sure.

Nuggets. If you continue to describe my wife like this, I'm going to ask you to step outside at highnoon.

You can buy cheapo ones that are a pain, look rubbish and break easy, right through to something like these that will last for years and may turn out cheaper, look better and be more comfortable. It’s not about how much they cost. It’s about value for what you paid.

        • Yeah I know what you mean and this is how I would expect it always to be, but I was tired of buying expensive things that last as long as Kmart alternatives, so why bother paying premium.
So now it is just easy and cheap replacables for me.

          • @Blue Cat: Gots to do your research. Buy on reputation, not fad or fashion.

  • Went online, through the link, and found my local store had stock/C&C.

Decided to go and just pick them up/try sizes.

Get there, and no— they have ZERO in stock. ALL had been shipped to Myaree??!?!?

Good thing they have a website and it's up-to-date.

    :P

  • Bought for free with the $20 loyalty credit. I wouldn’t have known what to spend it on as I don’t go boating or camping. Thanks OP.
