Is this all AirAsia flights? I am not seeing any discount on a flight I been keeping an eye on.

      Same see no discount

  • They will have to do better than that to get people on board

  • Where's the discounts?????

  • Don't see any discount

  • I also see no discount on a KL trip I have been following. Do airline sales Reps really think we do not know better ?

  • It's not any cheaper than the price as 2 weeks ago.

  • Is there meant to be a promo code or something? Don't see any differences in price.

  • Can anyone advise on what AirAsia is really like as an airline? I am reading mixed reviews, but it hard to know what people expect. Would it be similar to say Virgin Australia or China Airlines (Taiwan) or more like Scoot?

Just go in with low expectations, then you will either be pleased or not surprised

I have taken maybe 6 flights a year with them from Perth, no issues as I can sleep on flight from take-off to landing.

      • Thanks for your suggestions

I've flown with them a few times to KL. They're a budget airline and they are competing on price. So nothing to write home about, their seats are narrow, legroom is non-existent and based on my limited experience they run to schedule although a friend of mine, who flies several times a year with them tells me that every now and again they will drop a scheduled flight (with advance notice) and offer him an alternative flight or a refund. One good thing about them is they have the best airline food I've ever tasted but you have to like Malaysian food.
I'd say they're a cut below Virgin who are no longer a budget airline, and are better than Scoot who are the worst and I'm not familiar with China Airlines.

      • Ok thanks kindly for the feedback. I'll prob book with China Airlines as they are the same price and they are alittle better than Virgin in my experience.

        • China Airlines are excellent. I travel fairly frequently and CI are up there in my top 5.

  • how strange.. they go to Melbourne Avalon but not Tullamarine. I've never even been to Avalon. No one goes there.

If you select Return flight you can use MEL, but if you use Multi-city, you cannot select MEL, only AVV. Well, that's a no-go for me then.

    • I presume much lower fees for Airasia to land at AVV.

      • they do let you depart from MEL, but only if it's a round trip. If you want to return from a different city (i.e. multi trip), MEL is not an option. Also, for some reason, you cannot land in MEL, only depart.

        • Wierd!
Maybe they fly into AVV then courier the places to MEL to take off? Hehehe

  • Great thing about Avalon is that parking is cheap and your through Border Force before you know it.
Great if your living in the West

    • Avalon is outside of Melb Metro.

I never leave my car parked. I always take an Uber, which will cost more from Avalon I would presume.
