Free Burton Snowboard on JAL Business Class Flights (One Way from $2089) to Tokyo from Melbourne

280

Japan Airlines are running a promo where you can get a free Burton snowboard if you book a return flight with at least one leg in business class from Melbourne to Tokyo.

The promo website says 30 boards in total are available, and they are limited in sizes, so make sure to check availability before claiming, but if you were keen on a last-minute trip to Japan, this sounds like a good option.

  • Wonder if these include business class flights booked using points.

    • FAQs say no

From their FAQ it looks like that's specifically excluded. On the plus side, it seems like you can use business class for one leg of the trip and pay the same amount, roughly, as board + economy return but get business class in the mix.

The promo only mentions the snowboard, so I don't believe it includes any other snow gear.

If you're looking for a Face Mask, I highly recommend something like this!

All the best on the ski fields my dude!

Get a bit warm in that. Need a cotton version for this winter.

    • Burton backwards is Not rub …make of that what you will!

Good idea though JAL ..I like the concept.

Seems like it's more of a promotion/marketing stunt than a bargain given the limited quantity available, but it's a cool concept nonetheless!

Currently there are no boards that fit your stats.

    SORRY
please check back in 48hours to see if one has become available.

Is it just for the duration of the flight?

    • +2

Wouldn't be much use on the plane.

If you mean is it just for the duration of the trip - no, it's a snowboard that they will print your name and travel dates on, that you get to keep. From looking at it, if you were booking a trip to go this year, I suspect that you would end up picking up the snowboard once you got back.

The flights can either be a business class return airfare to Japan, priced from $3499, or with business class in one direction and economy in the other, priced from $2089.

taken from the link. saves people time trying to find specifics on price

  • None in my specs, unfortunately. I was due for a holiday and a snowboard upgrade too!

  • Only for the first 27 ppl too that buy the tickets in the set dates

  • Bummed url isn't JALsnowboardingpass.com.au

  • Thanks to the helpful person who edited the post to provide clarity - it's only the second one I've shared on here, so…. :D
