5% Cashback on Flights and 8% on Hotel Booking at Trip.com via ShopBack

100

The 10% deal with CR has expired and I just found that Shopback is having 5% cashback for Trip.com
Tracking is quite quick, I just booked a flight and cashback showed up in my account within 5 minutes.

Trip.com is the part of Ctrip.com one of the biggest booking services. I found that their price is in fact the cheapest especially when they don't add any credit card surcharge. You can always check your price on skyscanner to compare but make sure you add other fees and surcharge from other websites to compare.

Their customer service is very good, you can chat with them via Trip.com app.

I don't know when this cashback expires since it is not mentioned on Shopback website. Maybe Shopback rep can confirm the expiry date of this deal?

Just watch out with your personal info with trip.com

I made a hotel booking for Europe last month and provided my mobile number to the booking page which is a new number I just got (that recent circles 80gb deal). The next day I got 2 robo-spam calls in mandrian.

Mate at work translated and said it was some kind of DHL scam.

Cant say 100% was trip.com but no one else had number and I never got robo calls in mandrian before till after trip.com booking

I still book with this mob but use burner email and phone

    • I don't think so, these robo-scam calls can just randomly call ppl or your number has been recycled which has been subscribed somewhere in the past.

  • anyone with experience using trip.com? productreviews.com.au has terrible ratings but i rather hear ozb member experiences

    • Used then twice in 2 weeks in Asia by far the cheapest after using a search engine no issues with 8% CB would be great.

    • I have booked a few times with them for my friends and have also helped them change dates via Live Chat, very quick and easy.

Booking process is quick and straight forward with no card fees.

Searching flights on their apps/website is also very quick. Their price is usually the cheapest.

Sometimes you need to check the price directly on their website compared to the result from Skyscanner because it is cheaper from their website directly.

    • I have used trip.com in the past without issues, but the last couple of trips I've found Agoda had the best deals on accommodation.

  • Are payments processed in AUD in Australia, or overseas?

Trying to avoid my credit card's overseas fee, whilst still getting free travel insurance.

    • You can pay using Paypal.

  • Deal expired now, cashback for International flight is 1% and hotel is 6% now.
