Have one and not using it anymore as the base is very very thin and it's very hard not to burn the food while cooking!

    • Works well for me but I never use it for high heat cooking. Think I got it even cheaper though.

Yes, it's a thin base but one can control the other factors that result in burnt food namely the heat of the stove and one's technique and speed. I've been using these for many years and they're super sturdy for the price.

The saucepans are great for use with the steamer attachment… great for the $2.50 dim sims.

      • steamer is twice the price though. does it ever go on sale?

        • Yep, I only buy these things on sale.

      • where's Steamer attachment?

what about for dumpling, siaomai and other dimsum

Have 2 sizes of these, sautee and etc on them just fine. I find the base to be reasonably thick for regular cooking and these are well made and feel heavy for their size.Recommend

  • I have this and it works fine, never had an issue.
I always use this to make noodle.

    • Same here, fully happy with the one I have.

So people who use this to boil water like it.

    • +2

      Maybe you are right.
I never made sauce in this "sauce" pan.
I only use it to cook noodle and boil eggs, small portion of vegies etc.
Thats probably I never had an issue.

    • I make curries - brown onions first in these, have made popcorn, sauteed vegetables etc. No issues. Any burnt bits come off easy too. Works about the same as my heavy Dutch pan. There's a few cheap home brands but Arcosteel is good

"Unavailable" online when I check, but there seems to be stock at limited stores around the penrith/sydney area when I click the "check stock in our stores" button. Not sure about elsewhere, I just checked nearby areas.

checked stock level in Melbourne, most stores have no stock in the southeast
