there is more than 800 confirmed cases in Korea, if you are game enough -)

    • +2

977 to be extract but even if you don’t catch the virus you might need to isolate yourself for 14days when you return from the looks of things.

      • 1,146 infected now in South Korea. The numbers are alarmingly high.

        • 0.002% of the population is alarmingly high?

South Korea needs to be locked down……

    I won’t go even it’s free…….

Given that a cabin crew memeber of Korea Air has come down with the Virus, I can't upvote this.. the area is a hotspot, and coming down with the virus may not mean just a bad flu, but also prolonged quarantine (potentially in a isolated foreign country). KL seems to have dodged the bullet so far, but maybe thats because they arn't testing many people yet?

  • things are getting full on i just returned saturday from philippines i get sinus infections a lot and saturday had a runny nose and it went a bit onto my chest. Last night i went to see a doctor first thing he said was what country have you been to i said Philippines so he went out to check a country list on the surgery door.
Philippines was not listed so he checked me out and i had no fever and feel good just sinus infection. He asked what country did i transit in i said Singapore he looked worried because its on his list. He said if i had been in the countries listed i would have had to go to some other special clinic.

The stats show so far that COVID-19 seems to have an approximate 2-3% mortality rate and seems pretty contagious. The flu has about 0.1 - 0.13%. Those people using the flu as their case study need to check their odds. A chance of dying of 1 in 770 to flu vs 1 in 33 - 50 for COVID-19. I don't mean to ruin your holiday or anything though… Perhaps we need a calculator deal here as the next ozbargain… Or an online class in mathematics?

    • The flu isn't a like for like example. A new virus that been in the community for a few months going to all sorts of extreme measures (quarantine hundreds of millions) to prevent it from spreading VS an established virus with limited efforts to prevent spread. You don't want to be exposed to either virus, but the common flu is less likely to be as severe or lead to death. There's also tamiflu and immunisation to lower the risks and reduce the severity of the flu. Hopefully in the coming months in turns out that antivirals are effective against this new virus.

You know things are bad when even ozbargainers don't want to jump on such a deal.

    • Amen, who wants a ticket to heaven (hell)

You cant' really get that $260 price at all. Which is disappointing. Taiwan was great and I'd happily go back.

  • also.. cheapest price:

    AirAsia X (112 nights)
    11 Mar 2020 - 01 Jul 2020

    112 nights. LOL. No.

  • You probably only need to buy a one way ticket

I rather pay more to fly direct to Taiwan than have a lay over in Malaysia KL. Time is money

How much money did you lose from making this comment?

He's just giving his 2cents worth

"still amazing if you dont give a shit." LOL :) great post

  • damn thats the cheapest method to catch corona

  • I don't trust Malaysia stats. They have 22 confirmed cases for the last week while Singapore and Hong Kong is still increasing slowing.

Take a pass because I don't want to infect others and kill them.

  • Pretty sure these flights have a massive stopover at KLIA2. It will take you 3/4 of a day including stop over to get to Incheon.

  • Expected, only the dare will go to those countries right now.

  • Thai Health Minister Anutin urges citizens to avoid traveling abroad if possible. "For the airlines, please reduce promotions," he said. "Even though tickets are cheap, it could be your last holiday."
