  Am I missing something?
  Seems to be just a collection of videos, with a short overview.

  First video immediately assumes I am using a Mac. Tells me nothing about what Django is, how it relates to Python, or why I should be using it.

  Is Udemy just a marketplace for any random person to throw a few you-tube type video tutorials on, and hope to monetise it?

  I was expecting something a bit more professional. e.g. exercises and assessment.
  Might as well just google for some introductory articles, and dive in.

    It appears to be so quality is highly variable.

    I did one course that has been free (Adobe Premiere Pro: Ultimate Beginner Course by Brad Newton) and it was very good.

      You don't. Python is the programming language. People have created lots of code with it to create a web framework called Django to build websites/web applications easier using python
