Just so people are aware, this has an internal battery for NC charged by USB, but these are wired headphones.

    Title has been fixed, thanks.

  • It would have cost Sennhieser about $10 at most to put a Bluetooth chip in these to make them a great value proposition against Sony and Bose… But alas no.

Sennheiser do have the PXC550 which is identical with PXC480 but with bluetooh.
However, for some reason I found the sound on PXC480 actually better than PXC550.

      • Thanks the 550s are 239 on HN. Ridiculous for what should be a small differential at most.

        • PXC550 were $190 at JB Hifi back in Jan.

At $150, the PXC480 is a steal. Maybe I am on of the minority but I still prefers wired headphones.

  • Worth upgrading my Audio Technica ath-m50x that are held together with tape? Mostly for watching YouTube?

    • +1

The sound on PXC480 is more natural than m50x. Watch youtube, probably not goingto make a big difference tho.
Noisce cancelling is not as good as Sony 1000XM3 or Bose QC35 but decent enough.

      • Ok fantastic thank you very much, the m50x are falling apart so i'm looking for something comfortable in the $1xx range. So these might be good for me if they are at least as comfortable as the m50x.

        • +1

it actaully more comfortable to me than the M50X. However, comfortable is of personal opinion.

  • Anyone else stock them who price match/beat prefer to support a company whose owners aren’t massively involved in horse racing.
