Help with St. George $25 Return & Term Depoist $25 + Other Questions

I signed up for irewards and clicked on a link with i$25 for opening stgeorge debit account. There is also one for a term deposit i$25 as well. How do I get this money, I could not read anywhere what I have to do like minimum account deposit etc etc.

I have most of my money in Ubank account and I am using ING Orange for everyday transactions, but I want to get a credit card with 55 days interest free and no fees so I can keep all my money in the ubank & virgin isaver accounts. I do not like having to constantly keep afew hundred dollars in the ING to cover weekly expenses.

What is the best credit card out there which has no fees, interest free period and if possible get points on my purchases, I have been used to paying cash but after paying petrol and asking if I could have a discount for paying cash I was refused so I want to use credit now as I believe I am being ripped off 3-4% as that is how much credit transactions cost the retailers which they refuse to pass their savings onto their cash/eftpos customers. I applied for the commonwealth $100 bonus but was rejected even though I am earning 12k a year on centerlink benifts, What is another credit card I can get and what credit limit would they give me?

I am looking to replace my ING account because I signed up afew months ago, got the $40 bonus and I have been using the account, but I got a call from them and a woman said that there was a computer error during my signup process (after I have been using the account for months) and that i would have to sign up a new account and send ID documention from AustraliaPost, they said until I do that, my debit card will be blocked. So I went to the post office, handed the ID form along with other documents. I probably spent $2 in petrol, printer ink (uses alot if it is just turned on to do one page), 1 piece of paper, my time which was around 1 hour in total dealing with all of this, I calculate at $25 which I would like reimbursed. I am preparing an email to request they give me $25 or another $40 signup bonus because I should be entitled to that as their staff directed me to open a new account so as I would be emailed a ID document to printout. I am not holding my breath on this therefore if they do not reimburse me, I will close the account. I am currently waiting on the everyday options account from suncorp to give me the $50 signup bonus, I am now considering using them as an alternative to ING, but I really do want to have the best account, are there any accounts that offer a good deal as the ING Orange account and ideally will also pay interest, what I like about the suncorp is they have a high interest saver account but debits can be taken out of it???

Also have anyone else had this problem with ING, and also has anyone tried to claim compensation from them?

  • Ok, They have a total of 3 deals, $25 for getting a debit account, $25 for getting a VISA debit card, and $25 for a term deposit which apparently you can get 3 term deposits and get $25 for each of them. How long until you get your cashback? the 12 month term depoist is paying 6% and you have to have a minimum of 5k, I am wondering if I open 3 term deposits how long until I get the cashback because I can then cancel the term deposit and put it back into ubank along with the $125 I would have made. I am not keen on keeping money in term deposits because they are a scam, I am looking at opening foreign bank accounts, perhaps indian rupee account as they are paying 7%-8% or some other similar country as I want to get my savings out of AUD when the RBA begin cutting rates, I don't want to be stuck in AUD with it falling back to .60 AUD or something stupid like that.

Has anyone got the cashback from stgeorge, how does it work?

  • buckscoop is better, you get $50 for each account (not i$ which is rubbish)

  • I smell a troll…

    REALLY? You serious?

  • fermium, hehe, alittle I am trying to troll them, I was seriously pissed off that they blocked my account until I sent the forms off.

Thankyou for the tip on buckscoop jackofspade.
