Incredible. Last time I got a "refurb" item from Sony it was brand new sealed.

    • Same experience with me twice.

  • how are these compared to the headphones?

    • +1

Noise cancelling and music playback both are not as good on these. I think for calls are on par.

Definitely much weaker NC, but I still prefer them on my daily commute due to the portability.

      • Not sure whether to believe you with that username lol

Well..definitely not commuting these days :P

    • Probably around 70% of the NC, good enough to wipe out train hum but not good enough to get rid of voices. I still use these over my WH's because of the portability, hell I rarely use my WH's anymore with these now even on planes because they overheat my ears.

      • I found exactly the same thing as you. The sound quality and noise cancelling of the WH is great. I got way too hot wearing the WH though.

The WF have very good sound (in my opinion) and the NC makes a difference on the train. NC is not strong enough to turn the train off though, or the people around me. Another niggle I have with the WF is the wind. They really catch a lot of wind and I can hear it when I'm walking. Other than that, they're nice and it's kinda amazing to use them. They're my first wireless earbuds.

        • yes I agree completely about the wind, really bad design with it catching sooo much wind noise (didn't really occur on my Jaybirds). Another huge neg from me is the connectivity, I find its really poor where random disconnections and second long halts occur, something that also never happened with my previous cheap pair.

          • @sleepyowl: Thankfully mine connect very solidly.

          • @sleepyowl: Could actually be a phone issue.

Before upgrading to the latest Android version, it was constantly breaking up, but I haven't experienced it after the update.

    • I had to return these - not sure if I got defective pair, or incompatibility with my phone in general, but I am getting random audio dropouts (split second silence) when I am at my desk with my phone right next to me.

I own the headphones as well, which is miles better in terms of noise cancelling and audio quality. It wouldn't be fair to compare the two really. I got the earphones just recently when it was on sale for its portability, also because the headphones are starting to hurt my ears (I wear glasses).

I mean apart from the aforementioned random dropouts, the WF isn't bad in terms of build quality, design, and configurability via the app. The gap in quality is noticeable compared to other popular economic brands such as SoundPeats, Taotronics, QCY, Xiaomi, etc.

Anyone know if there's any Earhooks or wings for these? Can't find any :(

    • Might be able to get some aftermarket ones. Most tips should fit

    • Get some comply foam tips if you're having trouble with fit/staying in. They expand in your outer ear canal.

      • Oh ok interesting, thanks.

        • They aren't gonna be as effective as hooks, but they are better than the usual rubber tips which can sweat and fall out easy.

      • Anyone know where to get a good price on the comply foam tips?
I've had a pair for a month and really like them, but hoping these might seal the ear a bit better so the wind noise isn't as bad when I'm out walking

    • Put them in your ears and then twist them so the antennas point upwards. That locks them in super tight for me.

      • I don't really have trouble with them, but I'm always paranoid they're going to fall out, rather a bit more security :)

prefect time to buy refurb without thinking abt Hygiene

    • Got corona between your ears mate.

  • What's call quality like in noisy environments?

    • pretty bad, even with the new update i still use my phone mic.

Good to see ozbargain still have appetite for shopping. I am freaking out, barely can even justify buying a $10 meal.

  • Does this work independently, with the other one inside the case?

    • I believe on my phone it pairs with the left as the master

    • Both buds pair to the phone. So you can use either one independently

      • strange it appears as WF-1000XM3-LE for me and wont pair just to my right one, maybe I'll give it another shot today though I've only tried it once.

  • Just picked up one! There's four more in stock as of now.

  • Sold out again.

Addicted to Audio have gone up to $317.00

The audio quality is the same as $30 QCY earphones. Pretty dissapointed.
