    Was thinking of a Leitner for my wife. The fat bike you linked is hub drive though, so not really apples with apples. Mid-drive is considered better, and is on all of the higher-end electric bikes.

    That said, the RRP on these Powerider bikes seems high to me…it would push me towards looking at lower-priced or sale offerings from the likes of Merida and other well known names. Discount might make it much better value - certainly some of the lower pricing for a mid-drive bike, even though not using Bosch or Shimano drive units.

    I know, right? I checked out some of the higher level models at 99bikes recently - you can drop almost $12k on the top e-mountain bikes there!
