It's a decent phone but not the cheapest in price compared with the previous offers.
It's a deal for the ones who needs a phone right now, don't want to fork out more than $400, want a brand new phone, Au stock, global version, want to purchase from a local, official, large or reliable retailer, then this is an option.
It's a good phone but not sure it's worth $400.. the 5g Mix 3 for the same price was a better offering I'd say

The Note 8 Pro was released in late August 2019 with 64 mega pixel and quad cameras.
I own the note 8 pro (got it for about $250 64gb model)… The camera is ok, not worthy of a mention though
I have a note 8T which is around $300 and equal (includes NFC). Very happy wiht it… perhaps only down side is the low light pic quality.

Redmi note 8 pro $400 VS Mi MIX 3 $440
For that price, I'd go for the Mi MIX 3. The Redmi Notes are meant to be priced at the lower end of the mid-range phones. Shame, really.
Saw the deal this morning, searching a lot and ends up buying the Mi Mix 3 5G version black colour, although more expensive $519-$10 + 1.5% CR(was cheaper in a previous deal), but with Snapdragon 855, which is much stronger than MTK G90T or 845.
It's a great phone but this price is a bit hard to swallow since it was $340 a few months ago but obviously things have changed. Decent deal.

Don't be. Note 8 pro has large battery and support memory card, which mi mix 3 does not.

If you can wait then I suggest to keep an eye on Officeworks Xiaomi Mi 9T 128GB Smartphone Carbon Black as I reckon they will drop the price to $399 sooner or later. The AU stock global version of Mi 10 Pro 5G will be released on 27/3.

Good deal, but if you want better music capabilities, you should probably go with the LG V30+ which I think is also the same price now on JB
