Green Bean Coffee 20% off

A great source of green coffee beans particularly single variety. Ever since Di Bello stopped bothering with green beans, they have been my go to. They also do roasted, and equipment.

The email says it starts "Midnight Thursday 26th February 2020", so if you can figure when that is, you are better than me (eg start or end of 26th)!

I usually get mine from Coffee Snobs in Geelong. Have you tried them and if so, what was the difference?

    • Hmm, never tried them before. Never heard of them. Website is a bit odd though. Not HTTPS. Is it a legit secure store?

      • What they lack in quality of their website, they make up for service and prices. They're probably the best place in Australia for green beans and advice in general.

Never had an issue and as Lululuke says below, you can't really go past them.

  • Might have to start roasting again. That said I would need to buy a roasting device.

If you're just doing small batches you can either get a popcorn popper or a Dr Mahns's handy roaster

Or a coretto setup which is easy as

      • Yep had one of those with a thermocouple probe (for temp) and variable power supply to control the temp and fan speed. Left it in another country.

I'll look up Dr Mahns roaster. Thanks

I've heard heat guns work really well too.

        • Yeah just grab a bread maker of fb marketplace for next to nothing and a heat gun with variable power for around $50 and you’re good to go

Popcorn air-poppers from the Salvos/Vinnie's do a great job, only 100g or so at a time though. Easy enough to just do multiple batches though, it's quick.

    • Coffee snobs sell a roaster, that’s where I got mine.

Just looked, Coffee Snobs is far cheaper, even with the discount

I don’t know why any home roaster would go past Coffeesnobs. They’ve been the best coffee community and supplier of green beans for a long time.

      • I always buy from Coffeesnobs. They are amazing

    • Really depends on the beans you choose.

      • They have quite a range, I can’t imagine home roasters wanting/needing much more.
