  • These have been on before, its a great deal, but has anyone actually bought one of these and can confirm the listed speeds?

  • Wow that's good! Less than $1.10/Mb. Even at Class 4 speeds that's a decent price as evidenced by the votes for the 16Gb Sandisk Class 4 from ShippingSquare only a few posts down! EDIT: although ahving said that, this is a full size SDHC rather than a microSD.
    I've bought.

  • This is an amazing price. I thought it was a typo when I saw "class 10"
True bargain. Wish I had a use for one coz I'd be buying it. Maybe I can find a reason to 'need' it :)

EDIT: Oh I made the same mistake as scubacoles above me, thought it was MicroSD. Well it's still good value…

    • ReadyBoost for your Windows 7 or Vista machine.

I use an 8 GB class 10 for this.

      • I have a low end laptop with 2GB RAM, and 645bit windows 7. Would I expect a big improvement with 8GB or more SD class 10 card if used as Readyboost?

  • great bargain - thanks for posting. just ordered mine! FYI, to save you the time checking the website states free postage on this item - but when checkout you are charged £1.95 - checked with support - no free postage to Australia. Good postage rate though!

  • I have one of these cards and will be trying them on my D7000.
It's an even better deal if you buy stuff together on their site as the shipping rate is a flat rate irrespective of the number of items in your order.
Another item I ordered from MyMemory has not reached me in one month. Support said they will have to wait a bit more before launching an enquiry with UK Post.
Has anyone had problems with items getting lost in transit?

    • Yes, more-so over the last year than at any other time.

    • I got an order from MyMemory today, ordered in the 26/8, dispatched on the 30th.

the code VC911 is still good for this deal as well

    • Thanks dude, that code took off another pound.

Total cost at checkout 20.92 pounds incl delivery (AU$31.73)

      Great deal.

  • I have bought one of these last time. The class 10 speed is misleading. I have trouble taking HD video on my 550D, whereas a Kingston class 6 has no trouble at all. It's a nice and cheap card for photos though.

FUUUUU. where were you 1 hour ago before I ordered.

Any chance you could run CrystalDiskMark or similar on it?

      • I had work :( Sorry..

Where can I get this program to test? I'd be happy to give you my results.

        (BTW, I didn't neg you ><")

  • Hi, haven't tested speeds, but I have taken photos and recorded hd video at the zoo last week no problems with this card with a canon 550D.

Bought it last time for around AU$36. Took two weeks to deliver. Took it out of its packaging and ran CrystalDiskMark 3.0 x64 this morning. These were the results of one run at 100MB:

    Type: (Read/Write)
    Seq: 17.27/13.39
    512K: 17.27/1.298
    4K: 3.497/0.014
    4KQD32: 3.725/0.018

    • Thanks for that, seems the seq write is a long way away from their claimed 19MB/s on their website. That is false advertising at the end of the day.

I will be sure to post my results once it arrives. maybe different batches are different speeds, depending on their suppliers. Since mymemory are just rebadging other cards here.

They said "up to", so not exactly false advertising is it.

        • It doesn't say "up to" in the only place on that page that it mentions the write speed individually…

        • I thought you were referring to the logo thing on the card itself.

  • Mine got 20.90MB/s Read and 19.95MB/s Write.

This was using the MyMemory SDHC reader - http://www.mymemory.co.uk/Memory-Card-Readers/MyMemory/MyMem…

Anyhow for $32 these are a great bargain and i'd highly recommend them to everyone!

    • That is much better news, when did you buy yours?

  • WARNING - I bought 2 of these 2 weeks ago and they arrived just 3 days ago. The Write speed is different this time to the reported fast speed I have seen here of other people who bought them. My assumption is that the 2 cards I got are from a different batch because they do NOT have the "20MB/s" sign on them that appears on the physical card as in the image of the card at their website. Although they still qualify for Class 10 specifications, there is a huge difference between 11MB/s that I got and the reported and proclaimed 19-20MB/s WRITE speed on their website. Here are the speeds I got using CrystalDiskMark, both cards gave almost the same R/W speeds:

    CrystalDiskMark 3.0.1 x64 (C) 2007-2010 hiyohiyo

    Crystal Dew World : http://crystalmark.info/
    • MB/s = 1,000,000 byte/s [SATA/300 = 300,000,000 byte/s]

         Sequential Read : 23.702 MB/s
        Sequential Write : 11.025 MB/s
       Random Read 512KB : 23.191 MB/s

      Random Write 4KB (QD=1) : 0.007 MB/s [ 1.7 IOPS]
      Random Read 4KB (QD=32) : 6.718 MB/s [ 1640.1 IOPS]
      Random Write 4KB (QD=32) : 0.007 MB/s [ 1.6 IOPS]

  • I bought mine on the 18.07.2011 - So one of the older batches. Remember I got these speeds using the Mymemory USB Adapter, but meh.

and 2true2btrue mine doesn't have the "20MB/s" sign either.

My best guess would be to the high popularity of these due to the price, they've cut down on the hardware used so they could make more money? Not a good sign MyMemory.

Then again, Crystal Disk Mark is a synthetic benchmark. I got an avg. of 17.3MB/s write and 19.4MB/s read with H2testw, and real word performance (ie copying a large single file) I'll get maybe 13 - 15MB/s write.

These are still great cards for the price, though disappointing that they have downgraded the internal hardware (my theory, anyway)

Also check out this thread, apparently viper8448 gets

    Sequential Read : 23.517 MB/s
    Sequential Write : 21.768 MB/s
    Random Read 512KB : 22.576 MB/s
    Random Write 512KB : 0.944 MB/s

On the 06/08… so who knows?

    http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/49630

  • I just checked my and yes its tops at 11mb write speed! and it doesnt have the 20mb sign also grrrrrrrrrrrrrr! felt ripped off!

  • That you paid $35 for a 32gb Class 10 SDHC? Do you have any better suggestions at the price?

    • I think he feels more misled than ripped off.

  • Mine arrived today… I am disappoint.
