Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 replacement suggestions

Redmi Note 3 32mb is on its last legs. I need a replacement. Suggestions please.

I've had this phone 3 years and thought it was suitable for my needs.

Note 3 likes:
Physical Size - I don't want any bigger external dimensions.
Weight - this is about right.
Ruggedness - nothing has bent or broken
Dual sim - this is a must
Battery life - was fairly good up until the past few months.

Note 3 dislikes:
memory - I'd like 128mb
Xiaomi bloatware - I don't feel technically competent enough to replace this.

I work on the outskirts of Sydney a lot in "remote" sites so it needs to be able to pull in a week 4G signal (if this is a "thing").
I take a lot of video these days so good video capability is a priority.
I also have some industrial deafness so a clear and loud speaker is helpful and stops me constantly saying "what was that?"

Budget:
$300 +-$50. Can stretch to $400ish if needed. Am ready to buy now.

TIA.

Edit: Closure.
Ordered a Xiaomi Note 8 Pro 128gb. $395 ex-AUS. Should have it Monday.

Second hand or new Samsung Note 9 if you can stretch the budget - the unbranded versions are dual sim, and suit all of your requirements.

  • I purchased the Redmi Note 3 for my mother as it was cheap and and not too painful if she broke/dropped it.

    She dropped it.

The 2nd Redmi Note 3 thankfully lasted 2 years, 21 months more than the first one.

I have since replaced it with a Xiaomi A3 for $299 from JB Hifi.

Same deal, cheap phone with decent features, it's all old folks need.

      Thanks… I think. :-p

    • The specifications say that the screeen on the A3 is inferior. 720p compared to 1080p. Is this noticeable?

No it is not, not on such a small screen.
