Wish/Woolies Gift Cards, Max. 2 Per Transaction?

I was in Woolies yesterday and overheard a checkout chick telling the guy in front of me that there's a maximum of 2 e-gift cards per transaction. Can anyone confirm if that's the truth or not? If so, how long has it been the case?

I have 6x $10 e-gift cards I was hoping to use in a single transaction. Worst case scenario I can use a self service checkout and split the transactions up, but I'm just curious about this so called 'rule'.

    Maybe the checkout chick just got confused with the limit of 2 items on everything. She must have been telling people that all day.

    I have used at least 3 in one transaction recently, to use up small amounts on it.

    Used many in one go at self service with no issues
