  • I have a $200 Myer gift card and its very hard to choose which ones the better value out of the two .
Lego official site has Corner Garage $50 more so I'll go that way .

Personally the bookshop is a bit lame. The interiors are absolutely tiny, the garage is a bit plain but has room to customize.

The LEGO 10270XXX (Adult Bookshop) is much more interesting.

Not sure why this was downvoted but ok :v

        • +2

It's strange how honest opinions get downvoted, I assume by someone that disagrees but is too lazy or unintelligent to offer a helpful counter argument.

Comparing to the Detective's Office and Parisian Restaurant, the Bookshop interiors are very ordinary and disappointing.
Imho it seems to be a weak spell for Creator, even the sets for youngsters seem half hearted such as the Townhouse Petstore which is neither a townhouse nor a petstore.

The lego designers don't care the ideas range is the best these days

        • +2

So much this. The ideas range has been by far the best Lego series for a couple years now

  • Worth waiting for a while before buying this set? Just bought Assembly Square from Big W and the Corner Garage from Myer as they're both older sets and probably will get harder to find on sale. Any thoughts on whether this will make it to David Jones in the future?

  • Sharp prices.

I was hoping Myer still had stock of the 21318, but only on eBay it seems.

  • Anyone know how Myer ship these?
What’s the chances of box damage?

    • +6

I buy a fair bit from Myer. Generally they are packed well, and boxes comes in good condition. But can be inconsistent depending on which store/distribution centre fulfils your order as some stores don't seem to pack them very well. I would say I'm happy about 90% of the time with regards to box condition.

    • +4

Mine have all been good, huge outer box and pillow things.

    • Good chance these will be fulfilled from the distribution center, as it's a new release, instead of a set that's sitting in the back of a store or on a store shelf.

    • I've bought heaps of Lego from Myer online and it's always been really well packed. I'm guessing they know the people that buy Lego are more likely to complain if their box is slightly damaged.

  • I wonder if we’ll still get these with Myer shutdown

    • Should. They're continuing to have an online presence and taking orders so that part should still be running fine, they're just closing the stores down "temporarily". Who knows if the stores will open up again though.

  • Got an email at 4.16pm yesterday saying my order has been dispatched with tracking details.

Looks like I just made it!

    • +1

      Online isn't shutting down…

    • Was that for bookshop or the corner garage? Still no updates with my bookshop got I dont want it to be cancelled, as I redeemed myer gift cards just to get it.

  • Sold out quick.

    • Actually lasted a lot longer than I thought it would, which I think is testament to how hard this coronavirus shutdown may be affecting people financially. It was available till late afternoon yesterday when usually a deal like this for a brand new modular only a few months old from being released would be out of stock before the morning was over.

  • Corner Garage back in stock.
