    upvoted but it's $3.49 each if you buy 2 not 2 for $3.49 :(

Thanks . Was a tad slow with the update

Insert below the inevitable comments about using this as hand sanitiser.

Use it as a face wash. That way if you touch a contaminated surface and then your face it will be protected from bugs.

      /s for the neggers

That reminds me - what's the latest with Big Man Tyrone? I've been waiting to see a coronavirus-themed message from him. "Big Man Scotty here offering you normal prices on toilet paper hehehoohoo" wink etc.

Damn 2 for $7, this was $1 a couple months back i believe.

  • Thanks. I ran out recently and used dish washing liquid last time. This stuff is great. I live in rural areas and the entire front of my car is covered in marks and dead bugs, but this keep my windshield clear

  • Got 1 slightly bigger bottle for $3 from Repco on this deal

  • Just put a few drops of car wash in it…

      In the Bar's Bugs? Why?

  • +3

I've used it for decades and it works well, however I've recently been made aware that many windscreen washer additives can strip the wax, sealant or coating from the paint on the car.

I have no idea if the Bar's Bugs does this, but since buying a new car and spending hours applying protection to the paint I have changed to an overpriced Australian product that says it's safe on waxes, sealants and other protection.

    Time will tell I guess.

      Which one?

      • Glad Wrap

      • Bowden's Own Wipe Out

    • Not only does the ammonia strip wax, it also deteriorates wiper blades and window rubbers.

Do cars even hit bugs any more? Insect populations are plummeting.

    • +3

if u live outside of big populated cities then yes. I drive 30mins to work and its 100km/hr roads. Bug splats on my windshield every few minutes. I manually wash them couple times a week so these liquid are super useful.

      • So this is for cleaning car windscreens, the car and home windows?

        • well product description says

Ideal for general cleaning of glass, windows & mirrors

I'd avoid putting it on body works of cars where it may damage the paint. Dont see why you cant use it on home windows.

  • House windows as well, works a treat

  • ….also makes an excellent teeth whitening agent….~!
    (…dont try this at home)

    • +8

Well that's pretty much useless advice since 80-90% of the population have been advised to stay at home.

I bought 3 of them during the REPCO sale an excellent product for the price. I use them on shower screen plus house windows works like a treat.

  • Can I just add, buy the extra strength one. So much better, just little bit smelly if you got window wind down.
