Free Delivery at Guzman Y Gomez via Uber Eats

1983
GYGFREEDELIVERY

As you would expect, GYG and its franchisees are suffering badly from the COVID-19 impact (just as much as other food and restaurant businesses) and have not been immune from the need to shut stores in food courts and universities. So that we can continue this support of GYG, today there is 2 weeks free delivery for all GYG orders on UBEREats with promo code GYGFREEDELIVERY.

https://blog.guzmanygomez.com/ubereatsmarch/

This offer is for free delivery on your order via the Uber Eats app (Offer). An amount equivalent to the delivery fee will be deducted from your total order value. Tried out their Burrito Bowl $9.90 special (not available on deliver) yesterday with the expectation that it would be a smaller portion, but I was pleasantly surprised. Food was awesome and serving size was plenty! Will be going back for another over the next couple days

  • Code added but too bad no Guzman nearby, cant get to order it! pfffft

Limited to the first 150,000 149,999 users who apply the promo code in the Uber Eats app.

Have two guzman's about 10-12 minutes away in either direction. Not showing up as an option for me on uber eats or Menulog…

    Love their food

You can't. If it bothers you just don't order it.

      • +2

I guess people gotta eat, coz they have no time to cook.

        • +4

Yes, some of our medical staff working overtime to keep people like you safe might not have the time to cook at the moment. I'm sure they'll benefit from this.

          • @ThePriceMatchGuy: But what id they get Corona from the food that someone has prepared?? There is a chance right?

            • @Turd: They are taking the risk of contracting the virus by going to a hospital in the first place. These are unfortunately the risks that are present for these healthcare workers.

              • +1

@XVX: True.. If only people had listened, and closed borders when this was rampant in China we wouldnt be in this situation.

                • @Turd: North korea did it.
Would you suggest to stop citizen to go out and come back as well?

                  • @edwardye: For the safety of public health, absolutely.

Look at USA now - 3,140 deaths, look at Italy now - 11,660 deaths.

This is the same thing as charging $6-7 for delivery if you're getting the $9.90 burritos/bowls as they're that much more expensive on ubereats. Well played GYG well played!

    • +5

yeah. same deal really isn't it.

$15 bowl for $9.95 pick up
$15 bowl for $15 delivered (free delivery)

      • In my area they're $16.20

        • Even closer then. Still, I don't blame them

    • +3

      But you +voted?

      We'll played, indeed.

      • +3

Well you get all excited when an Uber code is successful once in a blue moon

      • Well said.

    • 100% this.

Prices via Uber eats and Deliveroo have been inflated compared to pick ups for all these chain eateries cos they don’t want to take a margin hit for orders through those channels. When you buy more than one dish you’re paying loads for ordering through the platforms. Very misleading, should already be free.

  • Shame not in my area

  • +9

Everything is marked up ridiculously on the app. Nacho fries bowl is 17 dollars

  • +4

    Lol.. Everyone still upvoting.

  • The system says that
    "Sorry about that
Grubhub food delivery is not available in your country"
    Should I visit Mexico?

  • -3

People are crazy. Have you seen some of the vehicles Uber eats drivers use. Coronavehicles

    • +9

Take delivery. Take package out of uber eats bag. Throw bag. Wash hands. Eat

    • +13

      Pretty sure they're called Corolla's…

  • +4

It’s definitely more excey even with free delivery code.

  • +3

Everything is marked up by like $5 (or more) , makes ordering more than 2 items more expensive overall. I would have preferred the delivery fee rather than this price jacking bs tbh.

    This deal needs more negatives.

  • Burrito at GYG: Now $9.90!
Burrito at GYG on UberEats: Still $14.90!

  • +2

No idea why people are upvoting this.

  • No Deal. Just jacking.

  • Has this coupon code disappeared for anyone else?
I've ordered a few times, now the promo code is gone from my app, and delivery is getting charged at checkout.

  • Well I tried to order a Burrito but the UberEats rider stole my food. Basically picked it up then cancelled the delivery immediately. It said he tried to call me but he didn't (I had my phone on me) so I got charged with no refund.

I've lodged a support ticket to get a refund but I don't hold much hope. I also tried calling the restaurant but no one picked up and their voicemail was full. Fml

Edit: hmm apparently cancelling like that is a scam that has been going on for years: https://thetakeout.com/ubereats-drivers-loophole-steal-eat-f…

    • Okay got a full refund and $5 credit. No idea what happened to my burrito or the guy (hope it gave him diarrhoea) but a good outcome in the end.
