I was walking past The Townie bottle shop in Newtown, NSW (right next door to Newtown Rail station) last Friday and they had growler refills for $6. They want to empty all their kegs that are on site.

I went there yesterday to fill my growler and they have gone up to $12 which is still a bargain for 2 litres of beer. I got Young Henrys Newtowner but there were other brews available.

Apparently he had to stop the $6 refills as people were walking in with flower vases to be filled or getting multiple refills of multiple containers throughout the day. the greedy ones always ruin it.

I assume the offer will stop when the kegs run dry.

  That's pretty f'ed up, especially reading about people using flower vases. Should have locked that shit down ala 7-Eleven's BYO Slurpee cup day.
