Huge discount on this Sonos Play:5 knockoff, although for a good reason. Basically, no one should buy it at retail, or for the supposed purpose (multi-room audio), but for a great big wireless speaker for $140 it seems a bargain.

https://www.techradar.com/au/reviews/urbanears-baggen-wirele… - review of it, but remember it's comparing it to the Sonos Play:5 which is $745 at JB Hifi. Also comes in orange and pink if you hate your eyes.

  • I’m no expert in audio equipments, so forgive my asking. Would you recommend this speaker over a soundbar under $200 to hook up to the tv?

This is a big cube, where would you put it in relation to the TV?

      • Tv is mounted on the wall. I’d just put it right below on the floor.

  • At this price I'm willing to give it a go even if I just ruin it as a wired computer speaker primarily. Thanks for putting this up OP.

    • Just gave in and purchased.
Shall plug in an XDUOO X3 FLAC player.
Just require one power point outside.
      Should be handy.
      Thanks OP.

      • Still waiting for delivery.

  • As seen in the Mr Men books.

Interesting, the claimed audio power output at 60w is actually below the max power consumption of 100w. This is actually probably about right, but unusual…as most speaker manufacturers will claim crazy peak power outputs, which will well exceed the actual power consumption of the unit (impossible for sustained output of course).

  • is it 139 or 129?

    • $139.99 plus postage.

  • Has anyone purchased from zavvi before? There are a lot of terrible reviews out there. Same product is also available from IWOOT website same price, free postage. But they seem to be same parent company (both with consistently bad reviews)

    • I think both are overseas so you'd want to check plug type etc. Personally I wouldn't go near either with a Venetian barge pole.

I have a few times (thus why I was poking around on their site and stumbled across this speaker), they've been around a long time. I've never had a problem, but it sounds like if something goes wrong their support sucks (I've always gotten exactly what I ordered).
