So a ~$50 16pk = approx $75 normal case. No deal for mine. Plus I'm only buying from independent breweries atm.

    • Independent all the way

There's a special place in hell for brewers that sell less than 24 beers in a slab; same for <375ml.

THIS - also applies to beer 4-packs versus the classic 6-pack!

Pity. CC used to have great deals a year or two back, but this is pretty much standard price

Agree - the recent deals don't compare. Even 6 months ago the deals were quite good

      • Pretty hard to please if you didn't like the Mornington deal.

Had a good Yeastie Boys deal recently as well.

Loved the Yeastie Boys & that Deal!

          • @INFIDEL: I really liked it too.

If you want more of it, it's $70 a slab delivered here.

            • @cittris: thanks for the link, can you shed any light on 'craftedbynomad'? Is it them distributing beers for other companies or brewing under license?

              • +1

@DoctorArd: Nomad brew under their own name but also brew all the Yeastie Boys beers you get in AU.

                • @Miso: how do I discover such information?! I'm pretty sure I've studied Yeastie Boys cans purchased from First Choice in the past and there no indication of this! Do breweries have to acknowledge this anywhere?

                • @Miso: I can confirm this.

Plenty of other great options for this kind of cash. Love Pirate Life but not at this kinda premium in this economic environment!

    • +2

I would prefer to support an independent brewery as well.

  • Hey guys

Can you suggest any good independent breweries in Sydney

    • Akasha, Sauce, Batch, Grifter.

  • $149 is about the price of a monthly train ticket in Melbourne. I thought this was an OK deal given the variety. Pirate Life are always quite pricey, even on sale. Definitely not as good of a deal as Yeastie Boys PKB. Hopefully the people at Craft Cartel start to offer deals more suited to those in isolation… Let's see more variety & lower prices!
