Another good news story. So many incredible people out there. Please stay safe :)

This is a really scary time for everyone, especially for people that have lost their jobs. The cafe is offering a free takeaway meal & coffee for anyone who is suffering. Come in and see us or give us a call, tell us your story and we'll work out a way we can help. Please do not take advantage of this, but if you're doing it tough, let us know and have food on the house. Rather than throwing out food, we want to help the community and spread positivity & love. We will do it for as long as we can.

    I'd rather places focus on free meals for doctors and other medical professionals - no free money, no free time. The Government has more than looked after many of the "jobless" and really when you're stood down, sorry, I don't think honesty policy is going to work that well for the moment.

    Government falling short on giving them the basic essential equipment. They aren't even the ones giving out the free damn coffees that other places do. Disgraceful. Oh yeah but I'm sure applause in the street is going to pay their bills or for their future leave/break.

      Healthcare worker married to a healthcare worker here. At the moment we’re not the ones needing free/cheap food and coffee, though it is appreciated and a nice gesture from the companies doing it in such a stressful negative time. There is plenty of work and therefore money around for healthcare workers - we can afford to buy our own meals. Yes we are higher risk, isolated from our families and it’s very stressful and busy, but financially at the moment most healthcare workers are fine. People who’ve lost their job or business are more likely to need this, so good on the henchman (one of our locals) for doing this.

        Ofcourse "need" isn't what I particularly meant, but the extent of Government generosity in the JobKeeper package is baffling and to me anyway is a bit of backhander to those it called a few days ago "important essential workers" (by the fact they stayed open and had to keep on going in).

        "Here have a pat on the back … oh and for you other lot here's free money while you doing nothing"

          I can see what you're saying, some people will exploit the gov (tax payers) and deals like this. However lots will be out of work and stretched financially at no fault of their own. Hopefully kindness and honesty will prevail.
