Looking for a new ISP with fast churn/install

Hi all,

I've been with TPG for a while now and have generally been happy with the service but my connection dropped out over a week ago and I have not been reconnected, nor have I been able to contact them, so with 2 of us trying to work from home I've got 2 options- we continue to use phone hotspots and rack up excess data charges or I kick TPG to the curb and get someone else in.

This is where the OzB community can help out. At this stage I'm not looking for a deal as such but does anyone know of an ISP that is currently managing their workload ok?

TPG are clearly overwhelmed, I've heard that Telstra are significantly delayed on new installs and I've seen complaints across a few providers that NBN accounts installed a month ago are still not connected.

TL;DR- who can I calm who'll get me back online within a couple of days?

What kind of NBN? FTTN, FTTB, FTTC, FTTP or HFC?

For ISP Superloop or Aussie Broadband.

    • We're currently on ADSL, our address has FTTC but I'm hesitant to change to NBN right now given what I've seen with connection delays.

      • Ask the ISP if your allowed to do a FTTC NCD self install or if NBN need to come complete the installation.

        • Appreciate the advice but I woukd have no clue what I'm doing there!

          • @Yizzur: The NCD comes with instructions. If you get a red light on the NCD ask the ISP for assistance.

If NBN need to come complete the installation he or she will setup the NCD for you.

  • Launtel apparently can connect quick and you can change plans next day. Pricing is middle of the road. Search for thread in OzB.

  • Cheers, will have a look.

Pricing not as important as getting connected right now.

Aussie broadband's customer service is second to none. They will connect you same day (if your infrastructure is ready to go) - partner just connected to their NBN FTTP service last week.
