Citibank Online Saver, reset of 4 month bonus period

I remember someone saying recently this grace period of 4 months for the bonus interest could be avoided / could be reset someway. If anyone knows the answer that be great. thanks

    Simply open a new account

        Yes, transfer funds from old to new then close the old account

          If you open a second savings account while the first one is active you will not be eligible for any bonus interest.
          You would need to close the first one i suspect and wait a set period of time to get the bonus.

          Citibank are quite good at not paying extra when they can avoid it

              @Donaldhump: As long as you first close the old account then yes you can reset the bonus. If you open a second one you won’t get the bonus on the additional account.

    Too bad it’s not a good intro rate anymore. Only 1.55% for first 4 months now
