      Laziest original title ever

  • I think this is the most Learner post I've ever seen. I can't talk, I don't post at all.

  • Just filled my barrel so will be a while before that's ready. These should cover it.

One of my favorites, warm up a glass and roll in the tawny.

If you struggle with the strength of flavour/alcohol drink it 50:50 with warm water, gives the same taste but less 'shock'.

    • I recently discovered that I like fortified wines like this one. Unfortunately the really good ones I've had were in restaurants and I can't find them at liquor stores.

      Any other personal recommendations?

Although I probably can't afford them anyway. :( It's good to know for the future.

        Late reply sorry

If you can find it for a decent price, Pirramimma Digby is excellent as is Seppeltsfield Para mentioned above.

Most of the ones I've tried were on a decent offer like on this thread.

        • I've saved the names and will look out for them when we make it out of the recession.

    • Thanks for the tip. Port makes me cringe

Damn, for a moment I thought it was Penfolds Grandfather Tawny which is around $70 per bottle. Sigh.

  • Where is this deal OP? Doesn't appear to be online. Some extra info would be good.

    • In their catalogue

      • Thanks. Online Price is different to catalogue. Looking at it on my phone so can't see t&c.

    • Go here link to product and add 2 to your cart. The $50 shows up un the cart for me.

      • Thanks, working now. They've fixed their bug.

Pity they have limits on alcohol at the moment.

  • Showing as $70 for me (in NSW), perhaps store specific?

  • how does it compare to the Grandfather one?

They're a generation apart. 😊 The older, the mellower and less of the rough edges

  • This is real nice.

  • Advice. would this be something that a person who enjoys a heavy/full bodied red enjoy?

It is similar to enjoying neat whisky?
