    Bit of a stretch between buggy code and free programming books. Are you going to apply that same logic to unqualified BA's, PMS that have not completed Prince 2 certs, or Senior managers that haven't done an MBA? What about under resourced, over scoped projects on crazy deadlines with an incompetent Product Owner? Instead let's blame the guy who doesn't have a bachelor, but who passed the interview questions, on your system being buggy. If senior staff are reviewing code, line by line, you don't have a very good integration pipeline.

    Manning in my opinion has the best quality books - as oppose to Packt for example.

  There are so many Beginner books out there, but rarely see any high quality Intermediate resources (building a real project once you know all of the basics)

    Have to feel for the authors who do write intermediate/expert books which are then pretty much out of date by the time they're released, because things have changed multiple times since they started writing…

      Well, a lot of better intermediate/expert books stays relevant years or decades after being published.

  Would anyone be prepared to share Beyond Spreadsheets with R? The website was down earlier this week and it appears to have been replaced.
