Best Pressure Washer under $300 for Car Cleaning

I’ve been looking at getting a pressure Washer to assist in car cleaning as I wash multiple cars a week and hand washing isn’t cutting it when I have to do multiple cars in a row. Any recommendations?

Have you used a pressure washer on a car before?

They do not cut it either.

They are usefull if you own a 4WD and have been MUDDING, They will get off the thick clumps of MUD etc. But they will not take off dirt. You can pressure wash with a 3000+Psi petrol machine, yet wipe where you have just pressure washed with your finger and the dirt comes off like you didn't wash it.

It definitely gets a lot more dirt off than just a regular hose, but of course there's still going to be leftover. If you want to clean your car to a shine and maintain the paint, the more important thing is washing it properly and carefully, which is a lot more difficult than it sounds.

the only thing these pressure washers on cars are good for is to remove the
    - bugs stuck on the front of the car after a long drive.
    - cleaning wheels
    - as above mentioned mud and dirt from 4x4
    - engine degreasing ( watch a video on how to do it properly)

for around the home however much more uses

I use just a standard pressure cleaner to wash the car initially to get most of the dirt off.

But I still have to get out the bucket and sponge to give it a once over clean but that takes only a few mins as I don't have to keep going hard (unless there are stubborn things like berries from tress).

  • Kooks like no one here so far knows how to use a pressure washer to wash a car.

      Please enlighten us.

I have tried every now and then for the last 20+ years with various pressure washers and even a Snow Foam pre-wash.

You still have to use a sponge and bucket.

      • Yep, pressure washer will not get everything off. We've got two black cars, I use the pressure washer to give them a snow foam and get rid of bugs then have to use a wash mitt/sponge with two bucket method to clean them properly.

Meh. I had one and used it a few times for the sake of using it. Doesn't do much more than a regular hose with a decent nozzle will do

  • Why not go to a self service car wash for a couple of bucks each time?

  • I had a Ryobi one and it was shit, so after some more research I recently bought this Bosch One.

So far so good. They have 10% off currently and I used gift card from employer for further 10% off, total cost was around $190. Comes with Foam Gun for Washing Car. It seems fine but not as good as a real foam gun. So invest in that too.

Car is washed much easier and leaves no scratches. Makes it easier in my opinion. I usually give it a rinse first, then foam, let it sit and either hose it off to finish or rub off with a mit. The liquid wax and cars good.
