ads alert! this is not a bargain OP

    • I don't get why you get downvoted but the post immediately following gets upvoted? :/

This is an announcement not a bargain. Unless you can come up with an ozbargain exclusive coupon. Quick!!

    The deal is:

we've got an online exclusive offer giving 1 month free access fee's on Infinite 65 if you buy before the end of the month.

    • +3

But we all know they would do this at any time if you said "please".

      • +1

They'll do two months if you tell them youre not interested.

Three months free is standard if you pay attention to mobile phone deals.
Some companies (like virgin) tried 2.5 months free (50% off for 5 months)… not happening on my watch.

Response to mod below: my -ve is because it's not a good deal, not because they aren't "offering" a "discount".

I just wanted to clarify that there was a deal listed. It may not be a good deal although if you go through moneybackco + 1 month access then that's $149 off ($84 +$65) off. If you called up/went in store you wouldn't get the moneybackco credit.

      • Yeah but not on the online store. Which means you'd need to get up, go to the store, listen to their idiot talk, waste money on petty, etc. This IS a deal. Just not a particularly great one given that you could probably get that and then some by going instore.

A month free is a month saved.

    But.. It's on Vodafone.

  • perhaps you should monitor ozbargain and observe what is a 'ozbargain' before you post your so called "bargain"

Perhaps you could explain your negative vote? Is there a cheaper way to get the HTC Evo 3D on a plan?

      • are you comparing vodafone to telstra? if you are, im sure you will attract more negative votes

        • +1

I don't know much about this phone or the deal. I'm guessing not everyone is a mobile phone expert including myself. If I'm in the market for a HTC Evo 3D phone, tell me if this is a good deal? If not can you steer me in the right direction. Telling me it's not a good deal with no explanation is not helpful.

Here is an example of a good deal:
12 months ago, when the desire HD came out with 12 months plan including 3 months free and on top of that money back co

my gf got her 12 months deal with 3 months free but ended up not getting moneyback co, but fine it is still a GOOD deal.

          Now:
Considering vodafail, if you are out in the market to grab customers back from vodafail crisis, 24months plan with 1 month discount is a good deal? Please…. tell me you get what im saying.

You are trying to make me say vodafail has the best deal for Evo 3D, there is only two competitors. vodafail 1 month free and telstra in 24 months. I still know which one is a good deal.

        • +2

Telstra are evil. Vodafone is just incompetent.

        • Thanks whiteflame, that's a good explanation.

  • that's my thoughts can you get this phone on a better plan?

  • +2

Aside from the obviousl (it's on Vodafone network), 1 month is the smallest possible thing they could offer. The only thing in its favour is it's at least a firm number instead of the dodgy crap doing the rounds lately like "50 PERCENT OFF ALL FEES OMG SO CHEAP for first 6 months, of a 24 month contract, additional fees apply, etc etc".

  • +1

1 month is <5% discount. I don't see how this qualifies as a good deal.

  • Not even close to being a bargain…

  • Overpriced plan when the outright price of the handset is approximately $550. Don't get me wrong, I am on a plan and I want this phone but 24mnths at that price when a real deal will probably come out in the future for 1mnth free? Vodafone has been drinking the cool-aid.

Come on Rep, you can do better than that! We want more bargains like the 12-Mth $29 HTC Legend:
    http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/36261

  • Indeed there are a few better offers on Vodafone than HTC Evo 3D.

    • HTC Desire Z $0 on $29 Cap with 2 months free.
    • Nexus S $0 on $29 Cap with 2 months free.
    • Samsung Galaxy S II $0 on $49 Cap with 2 months free.

Just not HTC Evo 3D (and I still can't think of a reason why someone wants 3D on their phone…)

  • This is like taking a new item out of woolies specials catalogue and describing it as a deal. Not fair to woolies :)

  • Never mind what they say or what kind of deal they offer, Vodafail is still crap. I am supposed to have 850MHz in my area, bought SGS2 to take advantage of 850Mhz, even worse than before.
