Noob question as uber eats has only just started delivering to my address.
Guzman y Gomez is offering free delivery via uber eats. (Usually a $7.99 fee).
When I look at the menu, an enchilada is $18.80 on uber eats, but it’s $15 if I order it and pick it up.
Does uber eats charge a premium, as well as a delivery charge?

Deliveroo is cheaper than Uber Eats
Deliveroo cheaper but bad service because I know we got restaurant out of 10 orders 2 divers shows up extremely late. If you lucky you get food hot. Also all delivery company are kind of rip off for restaurant but they doing to stay in competition. Yes the charging more for food because have you consider if they keep same price what they will make after 35% of your meal $100 values of meal they mostly cost of food between 20 to 40% ( includes labours and others) plus rent electricity hardly they get margin if they sell take away price.

Different commision levels depending on what service you use….
Ubereats takes 30-35% of the order total, so guess what? Prices go up to cover this.
Pickup commission rates are much much lower.
yeah I just order on the gyg app direct and pickup, much cheaper when you buy for a whole family
