2 year old Shimano 105 5600 flatbars for $500 seems like a good deal . Not a $70 Kmart bargain but a lot better bike . They also have some reasonable sub $300 bikes as well .

Edit: they also have some $10 jerseys . I got 2 last week and while their OK , one that I got had some small stains on it .

    People who buy bikes from Kmart deserve what they get! Buy a real bike people, you wont be chucking it out in a year! (or having a spill from it packing up while you ride it)

    A bit dodgy calling it "Shimano 105 Equipped" when the only 105 component is the RD, isn't it?
    The 105 groupset is for drop-bar bikes. It just happens the the RD is compatible.

    A 105 RD from CRC is fifty bucks. Stick it on a $99 K-mart bike and you have "Shimano 105 Equipped Flat Bar Bike" for $149.
    OK, not quite the same, but you see my point.

      "105 groupset is for drop-bar bikes" -> Not exactly, 105 is for road bikes, this is a Flat Bar Road bike with a full road group, incl. the flat bar shifter, just its Tiagra Level (1 below 105) with 105 RD included. Your correct it shouldn't be advertised as 105 equipped.

    The Ventura Speedy could be a very good deal at $279 for those who missed out on the Diamondback SR1, and live in NSW (free post), and fit a 50cm frame.
    Shimano 2300 STI (equivalent to the old 8-speed Sora) shifters and derailers.
