Civ 3? They couldn't maybe find some keys for a newer one?

    • +5

It's even on sale on steam for $2.99…

  • NBA 2k20 for $33,tough decision….

    • +3

My decision would be everything in tier 3 other than NBA 2k, lol

Reviews suggest its not the greatest game.

      • I would say most of the reviews are heavily influenced by the fact that to do a lot of the levelling up of stuff in game, you need heaps of in game currency. To get this, you can spend thousands of dollars… or you can go to the games casino (no joke) and spin on the daily gambling wheel for a chance at various in game items or virtual currency. Or you can pay a fee to join the Elite club, kind of like a lot of monthly sub mobile games, and earn VIP points and level up with a monthly virtual currency in your mailbox and an exclusive VIP club gambling machine in the same casino.

Ignoring all that, the basketball side of things still feels pretty much the same as all the other NBA 2k games. Unless the EA version has come on leaps and bounds since I last played it, 2k is still best out there. The MyPlayer mode is great, the MyTeam mode is similar to every other franchises My Team/Ultimate Team mode (hence the virtual currency money maker) and the online stuff via the Neighbourhood is where there's all kinds of stuff you can do with randoms. The career mode for a franchise is also pretty sweet.

There is also a disc golf course in the My Neighbourhood bit, so that makes it probably the best game in the history of games for mine.

I just hated with my 2k17 game they just shut the servers down, meaning all your VC and everything you earned is useless and the game is limited, forcing you to buy an updated game. Not going to do that every year.

          • @Fergy1987: When did they introduce the VC? I remember getting one of the 2k bundles a long, long time ago, specifically for Civ and Borderlands, and ended up playing NBA 2k12 the most out of all of them. Absolutely loved it and I don't remember there being a VC that meant playing 2k13 was bad a year later.

I hate VC in games like this but I don't mind the way things like FIFA or Madden do it in that you carry over some of your VC or level or earnings or whatever it is into the next years release. Would be nice if 2k games did that.

I guess there will be some cheap Borderlands game keys going for sale on Ebay soon.

    • I know someone who buys these HB gift links with TF2 keys and sells the game keys on gamivo…
Be easy to trade for these games on Steamtrades.com and barter.vg now though!

  • Couple of keys for games I already have. Just comment once you use them please.

    Pirates!: 29757-AGPN8-XEW23

That's very generous of you but please give away keys next time by PM.
The bots thank you and have taken the keys within seconds.

    • Both games have already been redeemed. Thanks any way!.

  • Tier 1 is nice

  • That's a really solid bundle. Everyone should play Spec Ops at least once, the whole game's pretty good, but that scene hits like a truck the first time you see it.

Can't sing XCom's praises enough either. Mechanically the second one's better but EU just has such a fantastic, eerie atmosphere.

I heard it had something like that, tried to play through, just found it boring and repetitive though. Whereabouts is the scene? Is it near the end? I'm only halfway through but it's not gripping me.

He's likely talking about a section in chapter 8. Unfortunately it's scripted and the outcome is obvious.
And yeah, the gameplay is unremarkable, the only praise the game got was for it's themes.

        • Ah okay. I think I'm up to Chapter 6 or something. Might give it another go sometime.

          • @Zazer: Each to their own, I found it (part 7 from memory, so you were pretty close) fairly seamless, even if it was scripted, but then again I hadn't read into the hype that surrounds a scene like that today. I'm also not above admitting that I'll have played it in a different context to anyone picking it up today. For context, it released in 2012, there were a lot of really meaty military shooters like CoD (up to Black Ops 2 at that point) which played into the whole power fantasy thing, and then there was this.

This was, at the time, a pretty fresh take, that not everyone on the front line is an incorruptible, capeless hero who solves the world's problems a bullet at a time, and progressively games were more about full on bombastic setpieces with Michael Bay levels of restraint. Again with the context, there was a Guinness World record for best ever ending in a game that, somehow, Black Ops 1 was considered to be.My 2 cents remains to give it a try if you haven't. It should run on most systems today and there's certainly been worse games to consume someone's time.

In any event, appreciate the reply and the different perspective, guys.

More victims for the backlog houses /hoard.

I think it is safe to say I am addicted to these bundles.

Best value anywhere but I will never ever play these games ever it is not just a full blown hobby to collect games now and well I can't stop because then I will need a new hobby and this one makes sense because it is digital so requires no space and I get masterpieces and solid content for a few dollars per game so whoever hacks my account basically gets a goldmine.

What is love? Baby don't hurt me don't hurt me no more.

  • Thanks Op

Went with $1.50 level, now I have 2 copies of Darkness 2, also on Humble Bundle.
Can you gift a 2nd copy?
