Good for people livig in 2030

      • Store it brand new in the cupboard for 10 years and then it might be ok.

Hi Save50, so what do we do with 20 pairs of shoes sitting the cupboard during quarantine.

    • Most of the time, I am only doing window shopping as I know I don't have 8 feet.

Some Common Projects models here are the lowest I've seen yet,

    B-ball Low for $170!

    • This is insane, should be in the post title/description.

    • Showing $560

      • Seems like they removed it, probably pricing error. I've never seen them anywhere close to this price.

    • Did anyone managed to get it at that price? I wonder if they will honour it

      • +1

Got mine delivered today, mad props to Subtype for honouring it!

  • Not bad, OP, not bad. Thanks.

Looks like all the prices went back up?

    • yup.

    • can confirm had some shirts in my cart, but they have increased the prices

  • Was there a glitch from them? Prices gone back up!

  • Looks like a price error. Missed it!

    • I was about to go trigger happy 😭

  • Common Project shoes are expensive because of their minimalistic design? What? There are plenty of shoes with minimalistic designs.

    • Their quality is another reason why they’re expensive.

      • yeah I read that as well, but $600? Whats the biggest cost factor here?

        • +2

They used to be much cheaper but a few years back they got extremely hyped up because they were essentially 'the first'/most popular minimal white sneaker and as such, price rose with demand.

        • +2

Agree with @1000101BIN , they used to be much cheaper, then got hyped and jacked up the prices to whatever they are now.

Basically they are well made (and are made in Italy), great quality, timeless design. Sneakers at these prices got more to do with brand name more than value for money I guess.

Seasonal colors usually go on sale for around $200-280.

          • @z10cvbnm: I see, thanks. I mean yeah with items that cost that much e.g $5000 Gucci bag, I have no doubt they're good quality but at that price it's really not worth it unless you care about the brand. The first two designs I saw from the links look pretty ugly though imo. The third one looked okay and if they go on sale again, who knows, you might have just convinced me to get a pair.

          • @z10cvbnm: I could agree with their quality make and even the materials. But I'm doubting the technology with their soles are anywhere near New Balance's mid-tier quality. I wouldn't mind a pair of the white leather Achilles Low for a very good sale price.

  • Pretty disappointed with my first time shopping at Subtype. Ordered 3 items yesterday and received shipping confirmation this morning. 2 hours later I got an email saying that they don't have 2 of the 3 items so have been refunded. Keep in mind this was AFTER I got a shipping confirmation. One of those items is still showing as in stock online.

Found out that they have an 'oversell' policy which basically takes on orders irrespective of stock levels and then just cancels and refunds if they don't have the stock. It's like how Delta and American Airlines oversells seats on a plane and when there are not enough seats they end up booting people.

Anyway, that's my rant and bad experience with Subtype.
