  • Double Dupe.

    • This has a reduced delivery fee.

  • I'm curious to see if SS will burn its customers again.

    • Mine had an issue that had it had an proper Samsung warranty, and if I returned it within the first 2 weeks I would have received a BRAND NEW ONE.

Instead, even though I returned in time, I still have to wait for them to send o/s for inspection, and probably won't get a new replacement. Who knows how long I'll be waiting. Quite sad :(

Just keep the warranty thing in mind if you buy.

I don't know how much you paid at the time of your purchase, but how much would you say a two year warranty backed by SAMSUNG Australia would be worth?

It may have been better to have paid more for the added security of this warranty, and the genuine SAMSUNG parts, or a replacement handset.

        • -1

A3Australia I have done what you suggested by paying over $150 but has samsung warranty, express shipping and GST.

      • spa,

if item is faulty with 14 days, a replacement should be issued directly. if you can let me know the RA number, I can help you to have a look.

        • Actually that was a typo, according to Samsung Australia when I called them it is actually within the first 4 weeks (for my particular issue as it is a known recognised fault). They told me if I returned this within the month I would get a replacement. Although now of course I realise on the ad that by Australian warranty you don't actually mean Samsung Australia warranty :(

I put this in my support ticket, as well as when I called them etc.
But that would be amazing if you could look into it though, appreciate it.

Does 'Please allow up to 7 working days for this item to be dispatched' actually mean 'Please allow up to 2 working months for this item to be dispatched'?

      Dear alo1234

screw me once, shame on you
screw me twice, neg and neg and neg on you

I am interested in knowing how ShoppingSquare/APUS may have 'let you down'.

      Would you please elaborate?

  • +1

Here are my reasons for a NEG on this 'bargain'.

No SAMSUNG warranty that is valid in Australia. (Phone would have to be returned to Hong Kong, or one would have to rely on SQ's private repairer and their non-genuine parts).

No A-Tick, so can not be legally connected to our networks (carriers).

No C-Tick (electrical safety) certification for the charger.

Unsafe and non-compliant (no C-Tick) AU plug adapter.

Illegal to import (because of lack of A-Tick and C-Tick, and unsafe adapter), and the buyer is legally the importer.

It is ShoppingSquare / APUS with a bad reputation for support etc. if anything goes wrong with the purchase, or with the phone.

I am 'all for' buying from OS to save money. Eg. ShoeBuy EastBay Amazon etc. for shoes, cameras (without AC chargers) and so on. However, in those cases I am not buying from Australian firms who are evading tax by drop shipping from outside Australia. Nor am I buying items that are unlawful, and/or unsafe) to import and/or use.

Negging on the basis of horrible customer service last time they put up this deal. Their order processing is absolutely shocking. The prioritise their ebay customers over their SS website customers, claiming to not have stock, while still supplying stock to ebay customers.

I would never buy anything from shoppingsquare again.

    • Saaaaaad

If you did mention about the post on 11-7-2011 in Ozbargain, the are facts you may or may not know, as we did explain to our customers who are affected by the delay.

      • The post was not posted by ShoppingSquare.com.au rep
      • Due to the system control error (and the power of ozbargain), the qty sold on the night was much higher than the available qty.
      • ShoppingSuare.com.au honor to the over sold orders and full filled (dispatched) all by 1st week of August unless customer requested refund.
      • Stocks were supplied to both eBay and online store customer evenly once stock are available.

I understand some customers, who found the deal via Ozbargain on 11-7-2011, was upset with the unexpected delay. ShopppingSquare.com.au did and once again to say apologise for the affected customer.

Yeah in any case we did receive the phone, it was still a good price at the time compared to other stores even if we had to wait. I bought two, and hence was sad when one didn't work properly :(

Hopefully to be rectified soon danilochan :P

      • +1

That's simply not true. Many orders were not dispatched by the 1st week of August.

And you CLEARLY gave priority to eBay customers. Stocks were available and given to eBay customers a week after they were reportedly sold out.

This is all documented by the way (Do you think we're dumb?)

  • +2

seems to me danilochan - you guys at SS need to try VERY hard to try and win back customers.

    • -2

      sure wazza23
Since I notice the ozbargainer concern on the issue of the post on 11-7-2011, I am now trying VERY hard to make sure our posts (even not via our rep) on ozbargain are being well take care.

We are also improving on our system, the more accurate estimated delivery time (before order) will be available soon.

      • +2

        That almost made sense.

      • +1

I'd say the best way to win back customers at ozBARGAIN is to provide ONE HELL OF A BARGAIN and have PLENTY of stock.

yes you might lose a bit of money on it or at best break even but at least you'll win back customers who will shop at your site again.

        Just an idea really..

  • I'll vote positive on an SS deal once you admit you wronged us before and deliberately shunned us in order to make us cancel our orders, and at the same time served people who ordered AFTER us.

  • Where is my order? Shoppingsquare is pathetic. I can't believe that after all the neg votes, things still doesn't improve. It has been 1 week and there is still NO update at all for my order.
