Samsung Galaxy Book S

I haven't seen hardly anything mentioned about the Samsung Galaxy Book S on here? Anyone bought it?

Im thinking of buying it from the Samsung education site for about $1350 which is enticing.. Or not sure if I should wait and see IF and when we get the new Samsung Flex which ive seen overseas. But then they will probably be more around the 2k price range…

  • Windows on a Snapdragon CPU?

At that price for a supposed laptop/tablet thing with a Snapdragon CPU and only 8gb ram I think you should either commit to a proper tablet or a proper laptop.

  • I have one, its great battery life and awesome for web browsing and some light apps, you can run Linux also from within windows and works well. There is a new model coming out that has new intel chips unsure on the battery life of this new model however

  • From the reviews it looks like it runs the ARM version of windows (Windows RT?)

Definitely would not buy one. You can get a real Windows laptop for that

Windows RT was retired a while back.

This is Windows 10 on ARM. It runs ARM32 and ARM64 compiled apps natively and emulates x86 (32bit) apps. It will support emulation of x64 (64bit) apps… but not until next year.
