    14 days, not 1 month.

thanks, wasn't aware of this, as most provide 30 days.

  • This watch scratches easily!

    • +1

Yea had Gear s2 for 2 years no scratches, had this for 1 month and multiple deep scratches and screen glue issues.

      • what is screen glue issues?. Did it appear after using it for a while?

        • +1

Had it for 1 week, did nothing, no water, no travelling. It looks like a smudge around the ring of the screen. Very common.

          • @onlinepred: Thanks for the info. That's not good to hear.

            • @haz: Yea I want to return them, called samsung support and they told me to go into the store, but I don't want to venture out at this stage haha. So will hit them up again and see what they say. I will get a replacement, and see how that goes, if it does the same thing I will ask for a refund.

  • It is OzBargain and we're all OzBargaines here…

Galaxy watch and Galaxy Watch Active 2 are very similar. If look is something of importance to you GWA2 is a good one, but there are downsides e.g. fragility above mentioned. Although not every one will experience this it is very common issue with subjecting GWA2 to Samsung claims.
If looks are not as important (personal taste though) and rugged smart watch is required and size not that matters Samsung Galaxy watch 46mm is just perfect. It has the same and more functionality in addition to GWA2.
With some creativity I got local stock (unlike majority of Kogan items) Galaxy Watch 46mm last week from Officeworks with 2 years warranty for $327. Posted here, but my post was removed as price match/beat is not a bargain…

Hope it will help someone who's looking for a Tizen version of smart watch…

Also, here is my 2c worth of opinion… $449 for GWA2 from Kogan isn't bargain at all even for LTE version…

    • Where can you get it cheaper?
46mm Galaxy watch is very thick, much wider and much taller. Very different style too.

Galaxy watch screens are bigger, heart rate sensor more accurate, and have speakers which is a huge upgrade.

      I got 44mm gwa2 bt only for $344. Was a good deal.

What additional functionality does Galaxy watch have over gwa2?

      • Sorry, probably poorly worded.
Personally to me rotating bezel, bigger battery, stronger watch body combined with cheaper price tag is "additional functionality"… Sorry for confusion

        • You miss out on 8 point heart sensor. Also if ecg ever comes it won't come to Galaxy watch. Also Galaxy watch has a smaller screen than the Galaxy watch 46mm. And you are stuck with the Galaxy watch design, you can get bezel add-ons for gwa so can achieve more styles.

          • @onlinepred: I see you have GWA2 44mm, it is your choice. I'm not convincing you that your watch is better or worse. If you will try to take it a bit less personal and look at the beginning of the thread people were complaining on scratches and price… I'm here to help (or try to help) and not to disapprove your choice. Move on and feel happy with your decision to buy GWA2. Your watch isn't bad, but it is not the only one and by saying how good it is you're seemingly not helping those who don't feel/experience the same. Just tried to point out that there is a choice…

            • @Kapitoshka: I already have one. I was the person to back up the scratch and screen lift.

I was literally just trying to find out why you were saying the gw46mm had more features etc. Which it doesn't. Anyway all good, was just correcting you. Both watches are awesome, nothing personal, just correcting your advice to others.

    • How did you manage $327? I wouldn't mind picking one up for that price.

Called OW online sales and asked nicely to price beat this https://www.tecobuy.com/en_AU/samsung-galaxy-watch-r800-bluetooth-46mm-with-tempered-glass-screen-protector-silver-5.html?gclid=CjwKCAjw1v_0BRAkEiwALFkj5pFKJn3TwOVIqjlTxlzqW_9_5t83ItYkE-Fv0PugdH9TppSplQNOxxoCPFQQAvD_BwE&cf_chl_jschl_tk=20991d488fc373f65d72ad061eb48d16d509b820-1587615348-0-ASae3D3i1gcPk3DUc_674rzoh_IvKzvoIRRBPwmqZM0asQ8_ueX7dC3eRK0hBa2kl9iXG7UKHk50hnuBzZl8GTab8WLLh0lkcMrBZ6kBnaDd0-osCriK2cSId0itwgconU1nvNx15SEWQPEjckTqTFN-SoQm7lPM0U-6LKZSfuFYhUyDxpeA5BBVHob6RBrOa7su7KvKRfbSFGdjgfYW98pWKPlXTiTAPyq9-SD0zac_o-T-2sjxdtW2NunDw5AZHkafUPa3Q_2Viai22WHI_AFpC8tEYfkuwV7KvCUvP8ojkP3PrSZtTfYwv09caPXJfanTO5vIq6YlLuqm_ubjAmZRTsQxt-ywtB9JeX1pyCfMn49Vos229r-65YwgGPFzgloFPJrzW8U_vOY6lysnfl89kRticGGzUmRCZWqZ6uPlX8i-sQEUyzVdgD6xpIEgZA1kRJ0b0M-Ld8qan6nBo7aJGhVPcPGwR7GuVZCZexpXtEZe9AlYko16xv5JLubqiVGp2r2geaaUBnW4pV7Q-RQataTLowkmdZr2TmouC0_HF92WszzYrPxsVwHV-yavPf1I5pUACdqyaxZvxnAY1_g

  • bought one for my wife last year, but its not for handy man's wrist. it will get scratched far too easily. It is lighter and i prefer light watches..but scracthing is a big issue. The ECg feature still doesnt work and may be another year before it gets approved to be used.

anyone purchased and having issue with scratches i recommend buying bazel which adds style, protection and grip of touch bazel.
    something like this

  • Also keep in mind there is a big issue with the LTE model, Google "Active 2 cooling". I have one and just gave up trying to fix as Samsung support is ignoring the issue, I don't use the LTE option anymore. I was waiting for apple watch to be available for android mainly for the waterproofing and LTE (surfing) and thought this will be a good alternative.

    • shame none of the reviewers pointed it out till now. guess most of them are paid reviewers

    • I was waiting for apple watch to be available for android

      This will never happen right?

  • It's the best looking watch out there, but yea h I have stopped wearing the watch after the scratch!
