I would be expecting USB C PD at that price.

    • +1

Yeah Xiaomi 3 Pro 20000Mah would be better for cheaper.

    • -6

Great prices, not sure about being "probably better".

      • +7

Certainly better is probably more appropriate.

        • -5

As the no.1 selling power bank brand in Australia, fellow consumers would disagree

          • +3

@cygnett: The Powercore speed is far better, anyone smart would buy the USB-C + PD power bank over this.

          • @cygnett: no.1 selling in Aus doesn't mean anything, I can actually name 100+ brands that make better powerbanks with half the price and better components and more protocols

Tbh there's not much point continuing advertisement in the comments arguing with charger enthusiasts because this is the internet and you are bound to meet power users that actually care about board component before buying

There's a cult for power users in china nonetheless charging. So here's a list from a pretty cool website in charge of disassembly and review of charging equipment. (pun unintended) This should be the most comprehensive charging related website in the world.
For those who can't read chinese a run through google translate should do the job

Teardowns with opinions, electrical equipment benchmarks and reviews: (won't machine translate well)

            • @sunnysteve: Don't dispute there are other brands who make very good power banks.

@cygnett: Cygnett kit is sold through all major retailers, so it's not really surprising you can make the that your the number on selling brand in Australia. VB was (still is?) the best selling beer in Victoria. Sales don't equate to quality or value. I doubt you'd be number one if Anker and Xiaomi sat next to your gear on every shelf.

            • @skwashd: not sure why the downvote on reply. its got plenty of merit. have an upvote

            • +1

@skwashd: 100% correct we are sold through major retailers and for a very good reason.

          • -3

@cygnett: PRETTY SURE you should've kept to yourselves, Nobody likes snarky brands.

      • +3

Having QC3.0 and PowerIQ makes the Ankers definitely better

    • Have to agree. One Cygnett that kicks some Anker arse though is the 27K. Bit pricey but I managed to snag a couple for just over $100 on eBay a few weeks ago.

    • All obsolete models.

    • Since when did OzBargain become OzReview?

    • +1

In your link the powercore speed is $149, not $60. If you are going to give this mob a bake, at least get your facts straight.

      • Lol, the long z extended Easter sale has ended.
        You snooze you lose.

  • Nice.

Even at the normal price of $34 on Amazon, the Romoss SW20 pro is a better proposition.

    20kmAH
    Type C with PD
    QC 3.0 on a usb A
2.1A on the other usb A
    nifty display

am pretty certain its currently Ozbagain's favourite

  • I like Cygnett products however wish we could see some actual deals from them directly on here.

As mentioned before similar brands such as Anker are offering more for less.

Hi All, if everyone is interested in our USB-C power banks, happy to post a discount deal of 30% OFF to be used between now and midnight tonight?

Let us know and can activate ASAP.

    • Post it as a new deal.

      • Happy to offer to those who have bothered to be apart of this thread, but not as a new deal. Understand the confusion over this, but not a scheduled offer and I can see how passionate OzBargain users are. Respect the Ultra is not the bees knees of product and wanted those who would like a USB-C PD power bank the opportunity to purchase at 30% OFF, tonight

        • interested!

            @gavt: Sure, I have set-up the code GAMER25 for 30% off both 20K and 27K power banks

        • I'd be on board with that

          • @iforgotmysocks: Sure, I have set-up the code GAMER25 for 30% off both 20K and 27K power banks

  • Which model can do fast charge and what charger do I need? I find large capacity power banks takes ages to charge.

    • Our 27K USB-C laptop power bank accepts 30W charging, which is a lot faster than using a standard phone wall charger

      • Any 20k or less power bank that can do fast charge? 27k is too big to carry around.

        • No worries. Fast charge for a phone and if so, which phone, or laptop?

          • @cygnett: Fast charge as in charging the power bank.

            • +1

@ca6leguy: Understand, but really depends on what you need the power bank for. Our PD ChargeUp Reserve Power Banks allow for 18W recharging (USB-C). These are great for tablets and power banks.

If you want a laptop charger, needs to be our 20K or 27k power bank, which both support 30w recharging (USB-C).

  • What be best options for fast charging of S10+ and IPad, thanks :)

    • S10 will accept 18W fast charging and iPad is 29W. I would recommend our ChargeUp Reserve 10K or 20K power banks. Happy to assist if you're interested in purchasing.

      • Hi Rep. I am a fan of your PD powerbanks when I can find them on sale and love using the Cygnett 6000mAh Pro PD as well as 10000mAh Pro PD ( they both are able to charge my Chromebook well ), but have a problem with your 20K PD model as it won't charge my Lenovo S330 Chromebook and have read other people mentioning same problem for their USB C PD charging a laptop also.

I purchased it from The Good Guys 20 months ago, was that an issue with that model back then. If so has problem been fixed now? Should I try swapping under 24 months warranty?

        Thanks in advance.

Hi, happy to look into this for you. Also if you still have your receipt, I can organise a direct replacement if we identify the unit as faulty. What's the best way for us to chat directly?

          • @cygnett: Thanks for your prompt reply. Yes, I have an invoice from TGG 20/09/2018, only used it a few times to try as I purchased it mainly for charging my Chromebook on the go, but did not work for that purpose from the beginning but really like the form factor and potential high W USB C PD output.

Happy to send you a photo of the invoice for a swap with another one that hopefully will charge the Lenovo S330 as expected as four of my other USB C PD power banks can.

            • @ozhunter68: Hi Cygbett Rep. I sent you a private pm this morning with my contact details included, still waiting for a reply thanks?

              • @ozhunter68: confirming an email was sent to you from my work email this morning. Please check your junk folder if you are yet to receive my email.

                • @cygnett: Checked my emails now and found it from you from this morning.

Thanks and will respond soon to sort it out.
